Championship Wrestling from Kansas City 19 Larry Matysik and Joe Garagiola welcome the fans to the show and plug the main event of Ted DiBiase vs. King Kong Bundy for the Central States Heavyweight title. They throw it to Gordon Solie, standing by in the locker room with Ted DiBiase.
DiBiase says he’s a little worse for wear after last week and Harley Race was released from the hospital just this morning. DiBiase is in the middle of saying what’s he’s going to do to King Kong Bundy when Bundy attacks him from behind. Bundy slams him into lockers and stomps on DiBiase’s hand several times before security arrives. Gordon is shaken and throws it back to the guys in the booth. Matysik and Garagiola speculate on DiBiase’s condition for the main event and introduce the first match.
1. Sam Houston vs. The Grappler Houston gets the early advantage but The Grappler rolls him up with a small package for a two count. The Grappler goes to the top rope and Houston throws him to the mat. Houston throws the Grappler out of the ring and the two men battle on the outside. Houston gets carried away and bashes The Grappler with a chair. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner – The Grappler by DQ
Matysik says Houston needs to get his temper under control before he can climb the ladder here in CWFKC. Garagiola introduces the next match.
2. Steve Regal vs. Baron Von Raschke Regal gets the jump on the Baron at the opening bell and hits a Russian Leg Sweep for the win.
Winner – Steve Regal by pinfall
Matysik says the Baron has had bad luck since coming to CWFKC. Garagiola introduces the next match.
3. Larry Hennig vs. Dutch Savage Hennig takes over at the opening bell and nails Savage with a double forearm hammer for a two count. Hennig hits an elbow drop for the win.
Winner – Larry Hennig by pinfall
Garagiola puts over the big win by Larry Hennig. Matysik introduces the main event.
4. Ted DiBiase vs. King Kong Bundy - Central States Heavyweight championship match Matysik notes that DiBiase’s hand is wrapped in black tape and hopes the champ will be able to perform up to his usual standard. He also notes the absence of Harley Race at ringside. Bundy and DiBiase brawl back and forth. Bundy crushes DiBiase with the Atlantic City Avalanche but DiBiase gets his foot on the ropes during the count. Bundy hits a second Avalanche and DiBiase barely gets his shoulder up. Bundy tortures the champion and whips him to the ropes. DiBiase rolls him up with a small package for a two count. Bundy regains control and whips DiBiase to the buckles. DiBiase dodges the Avalanche attempt and rolls Bundy up for the three count.
Winner – Ted DiBiase by pinfall
Bundy and DiBiase continue brawling. Harley Race, his ribs heavily wrapped, comes out of the crowd and smashes Bundy with a chair. Security storms the ring as Larry Matysik and Joe Garagiola sign off, saying to tune in next week for Ox Baker vs. Brian Blair in a lumberjack match in the main event.

Championship Wrestling from Kansas City 20 Larry Matysik and Joe Garagiola welcome the fans and plug the main event of Brian Blair vs. Ox Baker in a lumberjack match. They introduce the first match.
1. Cowboy Bob Orton vs. Steve Regal Regal gets the early advantage but Orton overpowers him and hits a released double underhook for a two count. Orton hits the superplex for the win.
Winner - Cowboy Bob Orton by pinfall
Joe Garagiola says Bob Orton has to be in contention for the Central States Heavyweight Championship. Larry Matysik throws it to Gordon Solie in the ring with Sam Houston. Houston says he’s more focused than ever and will beat the Grappler tonight. Gordon gets out of the way as the Grappler makes his way to the ring.
2. Sam Houston vs. The Grappler Houston is all over the Grappler in the early minutes and hits a dropkick for a two count. Houston and the Grappler wind up outside the ring and everything breaks down. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner - No Contest
Garagiola says the next time Houston and the Grappler lock up, they’ll need someone like James Beard as the ref. Larry Matysik introduces the next match.
3. Joe Blanchard vs. Tiger Conway Blanchard knocks Conway to the mat with an uppercut at the opening bell. Blanchard hoists a woozy Conway up in the airplane spin. Conway quickly taps out.
Winner - Joe Blanchard by submission
Gordon Solie catches up with Blanchard after the match. Blanchard doesn’t like Gordon’s tone and shoves him around until Magnum TA makes the save. Maytsik and Garagiola introduce the main event.
4. Ox Baker vs. Brian Blair - lumberjack match Lumberjacks surround the ring as Baker and Blair are introduced. Baker gets the early advantage and whips Blair to the ropes. Blair rolls him up with a small package and the match is nearly over. Blair dumps Ox over the top rope and Tiger Conway and Sam Houston work Baker over. While the referee is distracted, Yusuf Ishmail attacks Blair from behind and hits the rib crusher. Baker rolls back into the ring and drills Blair with the heart punch for the three count.
Winner - Ox Baker by pinfall
Joe Garagiola and Larry Matysik sign off, telling the fans to tune in next week for Magnum TA vs. Joe Blanchard in the main event!

It started out with "What if babyface Ted DiBiase had hometown advantage and Harley Race as a manager?" and expanded from there. I've got a stopping point in mind around card 30 so I can get back to my main fed but I'll return to KC some time.

Championship Wrestling from Kansas City 21 Joe Garagiola and Larry Matysik welcome the fans to the show and plug the main event of Magnum TA vs. Joe Blanchard plus the rematch between Sam Houston vs. The Grappler with special guest referee James Beard. They introduce the first match.
1. Dick Hutton vs. Keith Steinborn Steinborn tries punching Hutton the face but Hutton ducks and nails Steinborn with a big atomic drop and covers him for the three count.
Winner - Dick Hutton by pinfall
2. Tiger Conway vs. Bob Roop Conway gets the upper hand in the early minutes and goes to the top rope. Roop throws him to the mat and hits a guillotine leg drop for a two count. Roop pulls Conway to his feet and hits the shoulder breaker for the three count.
Winner - Bob Roop by pinfall
Gordon Solie catches up with Bob Roop after the match. Roop says he doesn’t like Solie’s tone and gets in his face until Marty Jannetty comes out of the crowd and makes the save. A shaken Gordon Solie says we’ll be back after the commercial break.
When the show returns from commercial, Gordon is composed and is in the ring with the Grappler. The Grappler is running down Sam Houston when Houston hits the ring and bulldogs the Grappler. Gordon rolls out of the ring and tells the timekeeper to ring the bell.
3. Sam Houston vs. The Grappler Houston fails to capitalize on his momentum and The Grappler takes over. The Grapper tosses Houston to the outside and James Beard says to get it back in the ring. Houston and The Grappler wind up back in the ring and Houston makes a comeback. The Grappler turns things around with a piledriver. The Grappler locks on the Grappler Twist but Houston is able to escape the hold. The Grappler drills Sam Houston with the loaded boot for the win.
Winner - The Grappler by pinfall
Garagiola says The Grappler is climbing the ladder and could be in the ring with the champion very soon. Larry Matysik introduces the main event.
4. Magnum TA vs. Joe Blanchard Joe dominates Magnum early on but Magnum fires up and makes a comeback. Magnum hits the belly to belly suplex for the win.
Winner - Magnum TA by pinfall
Larry Matysik and Joe Garagiola sign off, reminding fans to tune in next week when Ted DiBiase takes on King Kong Bundy in a cage match for the Central States Heavyweight title and Jack Brisco’s return to CWFKC.

Championship Wrestling from Kansas City 22 Joe Garagiola and Larry Matysik welcome the fans to the show and plug the main event of Ted DiBiase vs. King Kong Bundy in a cage match for the Central States Heavyweight championship. They introduce the first match.
1. Jack Brisco vs. Keith Steinborn Steinborn jumps Brisco at the opening bell but Brisco puts him on the mat with the double leg takedown. Brisco hits the rolling reverse cradle for the win.
Winner - Jack Brisco by pinfall
Gordon Solie catches up with Jack Brisco after the match. Brisco says he’s going for the gold as soon as the match is booked. The Grappler interrupts the interview and tells Brisco to get in line. Gordon tells The Grappler to leave. Grappler pretends to leave and sucker punches Jack Brisco! As Brisco is on his hands and knees, Grappler kicks him with the loaded boot, laying him out. Gordon says the show is going to commercial.
When the show returns, Gordon says Brisco is fired up and challenged The Grappler to a match next week. He introduces Bob Roop. Roop says Jannetty is a just a stepping stone and predicts an easy match. Bob Roop goes to his corner and Gordon gets out of the ring while Mickey Garagiola introduces Rooper’s opponent.
2. Bob Roop vs. Marty Jannetty Roop plants Jannetty with a neckbreaker to start the match. Roop throws Jannetty out to the floor and puts the boots to him. Roop rolls Jannetty back into the ring.and hits the guillotine leg drop for a two count. Jannetty tries mounting a comeback but Roop shuts him down and hits the shoulder breaker. Jannetty gets his foot on the ropes just before the three count and Roop is furious. Roop whips Jannetty to the buckles and charges in. Jannetty sends him sailing over the top rope to the floor. Jannetty comes out and brawls with Roop before slamming his head into the apron and rolling him back into the ring. Jannetty hits the Rocker Dropper for the win!
Winner - Marty Jannetty by pinfall
Roop leaves the ring, stunned at the loss. Gordon Solie makes his way to ringside and introduces Brian Blair. Blair says he has a big match tonight with Yusuf Ishmail. Ishmail attacks Blair from behind and goes for the Stranglehold but Blair blocks it and locks on the Cobra Clutch! The referee rings the bell.
3. Brian Blair vs. Yusuf Ishmail Blair power slams Ishmail and goes to the top rope but Ishmail knocks his feet out from under him. Ishmail wears Blair down with the neck wrencher but has a hard time following up on it. BBlair makes a comeback and locks on the cobra clutch but Ishmail escapes the hold. Blair and Ishmail brawl on the outside and Blair nails Ishmail with a flying forearm smash, knocking him over the guard rail and into the front row. Ishmail barely beats the count back into the ring. Ishmail and Blair battle back and forth. Ishmail uses the neck wrencher a second time, wearing Blair down. Ishmail locks on the Stranglehold and Blair taps out.
Winner - Yusuf Ishmail by submission
As the steel cage is being assembled, Larry Matysik and Joe Garagiola run down the history between Ted DiBiase and King Kong Bundy. Matysik wonders if the champ’s hand is healed from Bundy’s attack weeks ago. Once the cage is assembled, they introduce the main event.
4. Ted DiBiase vs. King Kong Bundy - cage match for the Central States Heavyweight title During the introductions, Matysik notes that DiBiase is wearing a black glove to protect his injured hand. DiBIase and Bundy battle back and forth. The champion is more aggressive than usual and goes to the eyes. DiBiase works over Bundy and nails him with a big right hand. Bundy goes down and DiBiase covers him for the three count.
Winner - Ted DiBiase by pinfall, his eighth title defense
Garagolia and Matysik sign off, saying to tune in next week for Jack Brisco vs. The Grappler in the main event.

Championship Wrestling from Kansas City 23 Joe Garagiola and Larry Matysik welcome the fans to the show and plug the main event of Jack Brisco vs. The Grappler. They introduce the first match.
1. Nick Bockwinkel vs. Keith Steinborn Bockwinkel takes Steinborn to the mat with an armbar and locks on the figure four. Steinborn submits.
Winner - Nick Bockwinkel by submission
After the match, Gordon Solie catches up with Bockwinkel for a few words. Bockwinkel says he doesn’t like Jack Brisco coming to CWFKC and getting the star treatment. Bockwinkel challenges Brisco to a match next week if he survives The Grappler. Solie says we’ll return after the commercial break. The show returns with Marty Jannety vs. Dick Hutton in progress.
2. Marty Jannetty vs. Dick Hutton Hutton appears to have things under control but Jannetty nails him with a back elbow ram for a two count. Jannetty drills Hutton with a DDT for another near fall. Jannetty hits the rocker dropper for the win.
Winner - Marty Jannetty by pinfall
Garagiola and Matysik talk about Jannetty’s recent win streak and throw it to Gordon Solie in the ring with Davey Boy Smith. Davey is fired up and says he’ll teach the Terrible Turk a lesson and get back in the title hunt. Davey takes his corner while Mickey Garagiola introduces his opponent.
3. Davey Boy Smith vs. Yusuf Ishmail Smith unloads on Ishmail at the opening bell but can’t get him on the mat. Ishmail and Davey battle back and forth. Ishmail hits the rib crusher for a two count. Ishmail works on Bulldog with a neck wrencher. Ishmail goes for an armlock but Davey powers out of it and goes on the attack. Davey manhandles the Turk but can’t keep him down for long. Ishmail uses the neck wrencher two more times, wearing Davey down. Ishmail locks on the Stranglehold and Davey taps out.
Winner - Yusuf Ishmail by submission
Garagiola says Ishmail is a terror and no one seems to be able to stop him for long. Matysik introduces the main event.
4.Jack Brisco vs. The Grappler Brisco hits the double leg takedown at the opening bell. The Grappler struggles to his feet and Brisco hits a dropkick. Brisco hooks the leg and gets the three count.
Winner - Jack Brisco by pinfall
Brisco grabs the mic after the match and says he’ll see Bockwinkel next week.
Matysik and Garagiola sign off, telling the fans to tune in next week for Bockwinkel vs. Brisco!
