Championship Wrestling from Kansas City 24
Larry Matysik and Joe Garagiola welcome the fans to the show and plug the main event of Nick Bockwinkel vs. Jack Brisco. Garagiola drops a bombshell and says the winner will face Ted DiBiase for the Central States Heavyweight title next week. Garagiola and Maytsik introduce the first match.
1. Bob Roop vs. Steve Regal
Regal gets the early advantage but Roop rolls him up after a missed turnbuckle charge for a two count. Regal makes a comeback and hits a Russian leg sweep for a two count. Regal hits a stun gun and nearly gets the pinfall. Regal locks on the Ft. Lauderdale Leglock but Roop is able to make it to the ropes. Roop makes a comeback but Regal catches him with a small package for the win.
Winner - Steve Regal by pinfall
Joe Garagiola pops for the upset by Regal. Larry Matsyik throws it to Gordon Solie standing by with Lanny Poffo. Poffo says he talked to his friend Brian Blair and has a strategy for Ox Baker. Ox attacks him from behind and goes to work as Solie scrambles for cover.
2. Lanny Poffo vs. Ox Baker
Baker puts Poffo in a bear hug but Poffo escapes the hold. Baker mauls Poffo outside the ring and Lanny barely beats the count back into the ring. Lanny makes a comeback and hits the springboard senton for the three count.
Winner - Lanny Poffo by pinfall
Joe Garagiola says it’s been a day of upsets so far and throws it to Gordon Solie standing by with Magnum TA. Magnum says he’s been out in the cold for too long and promises to make an impact and get another shot at the gold soon. Magnum takes his corner and Gordon rolls out of the ring while Magnum’s opponent is introduces.
3. Magnum TA vs. Dan Spivey
Spivey takes over early and works on Magnum’s neck. Spivey and Magnum battle outside the ring. Spivey hits the power bomb but Magnum gets his shoulder up before the three count. Spivey pulls Magnum up by the hair and Magnum makes a comeback, nailing Spivey with a running forearm for a two count. Magnum locks on the sleeper hold but Spivey fights his way to the ropes. Spivey tries mounting a comeback but Magnum nails him with a dropkick for the win.
Winner - Magnum TA by pinfall
Larry Matysik puts over Magnum TA and Joe Garagiola introduces the main event.
4. Nick Bockwinkel vs. Jack Brisco - #1 contender
Bockwinkel takes the early advantage and tries finishing early with the Boston Crab but Brisco escapes the hold. Bockwinkel and Brisco battle back and forth. Bockwinkel goes for the Boston Crab a second time but Brisco fights his way to the ropes. Brisco makes a comeback and hits the Thesz Press for a two count. Brisco hits the rolling reverse cradle for another two count. Brisco and Bockwinkel battle on the outside. Bockwinkel goes for a knee smash to the back but Brisco moves out of the way and Bockwinkel’s knee hits the ringpost. Bockwinkel rolls back into the ring before the count out but is hurting. Brisco hits a dropkick for a two count. Brisco hits the lateral guillotine but can’t get the three count. Brisco locks on the figure four and Bockwinkel taps out.
Winner - Jack Brisco by submission
Larry Matysik and Joe Garagiola put over Jack Brisco and sign off, telling the fans to tune in next week when Ted DiBIase defends the gold against Jack Brisco!

Larry Matysik and Joe Garagiola welcome to the fans and plug the main event of Ted DiBiase vs. Jack Brisco for the Central States Heavyweight title. Garagiola wonders if DiBiase’s hand is healed yet. Larry Matysik introduces the first match.
1. Larry Hennig vs. The Trooper
Hennig bulldozes the Trooper and hits a double forearm hammer for a two count. The Trooper tries mounting a comeback but Hennig crushes him with a body slam for a two count. Hennig hits an elbow drop for a two count. Hennig hits The Axe for the win.
Winner - Larry Hennig by pinfall
Garagiola is impressed by Hennig’s strength. Matysik introduces the next match.
2. Steve Regal vs. Marty Jannetty
Jannetty gets the early advantage but can’t get Regal into a pinning predicament. Regal catches Jannetty with a small package for a two count. Regal flattens Jannetty with a Russian leg sweep and locks on the Fort Lauderdale Leglock but Jannetty escapes the hold. Jannetty recovers and hits the Rocker Dropper for a two count. Jannetty hits a second Rocker Dropper for the win.
WInner - Marty Jannetty by pinfall
Matysik puts over Jannetty’s win streak and Garagiola throws it to Gordon Solie standing by with Cowboy Bob Orton. Orton says he’s more focused than ever before and says he’ll put Ishmail away in record time. Orton goes to his corner and Solie leaves the ring area as Orton’s opponent is introduced.
3. Cowboy Bob Orton vs. Yusuf Ishmail
Ishmail runs over Orton and puts him down with the rib crusher. Ishmail locks on the Stranglehold but Orton makes it to the ropes. Ishmail attacks Orton’s neck with the neck wrencher and locks on the Stranglehold a second time. Orton taps out.
Winner - Yusuf Ishmail by submission
Maytsik and Garagiola put over Ishmail’s win and introduce the main event.
4. Ted DiBiase with Harley Race vs. Jack Brisco - Central States Heavyweight championship
DiBiase, still sporting the black glove for protection, gets a pre-match pep talk from Harley Race. Brisco gets the early advantage and trades it back and forth with the champion. DiBiase blocks Brisco’s backdrop attempt with a piledriver and goes on the attack. DiBiase locks on the figure four but Brisco escapes the hold. DiBiase hits the neckbreaker drop for a two count. DiBiase hits a backbreaker and covers Brisco but Brisco gets his shoulder up before the three count. Brisco makes a comeback and hits a dropkick for a two count. Brisco hits the rolling reverse cradle but can’t put the champion away. Brisco throws DIBiase out of the ring and loses his temper, nailing DiBIase with a chair. The referee warns Brisco. DiBiase is favoring his hand as Brisco rolls him back into the ring. DiBiase rolls out the other side and consults Harley Race. Brisco comes out after him and DiBiase nails him with his gloved hand. DiBIase rolls Brisco back into the ring. DiBiase hits a full power slam and Brisco barely gets his shoulder up before the three count. DiBiase locks on the figure four and Brisco taps out.
Winner - Ted DiBIase by submission, his ninth title defense
The announcers put over the big win by DiBiase and sign off, telling the fans to tune in next week for Magnum TA vs. Yusuf Ishmail to determine the #1 contender to Ted DiBiase’s Central States Heavyweight Championship.

Regal gets the early advantage but Brisco rebounds with a dropkick to turn things around. Brisco locks on the figure four and Regal taps out.

Gordon Solie catches up with Brisco after the match. Brisco says he came up short last week but also says that he thinks DiBiase’s hiding something under that black glove. DiBiase and Harley Race interrupt the interview. DiBiase says the world saw King Kong Bundy injure his hand and Brisco is just making excuses. DiBIase says he’ll face Brisco again next week to prove once and for all that he is the better man. Harley Race is red in the face but says nothing . Brisco agrees to face DiBiase again next week. The show goes to commercial. When it returns, Davey Boy Smith vs. Dan Spivey is already in progress.
2. Davey Boy Smith vs. Dan Spivey
Spivey has the match under control. Davey catches him with a small package for a two count. Davey hits the running power slam for the win.

Joe Garagiola puts over the strength of the British Bulldog. Larry Matysik throws it to Gordon Solie standing by with Marty Jannetty. Marty Jannetty is fired up and says he’s cracked the Top Ten rankings in CWFKC and is going to climb even higher after tonight. Gordon leaves the ring area as Marty’s opponent is introduced.
3. Larry Hennig vs. Marty Jannetty
Jannetty hits a big dropkick for a two count to start the match. Larry makes a comeback but Marty kills his momentum with a superkick and covers him for a two count. Jannetty hits the Rocker Dropper for the win.
Winner - Marty Jannetty by pinfall
Matysik says the hot streak for Marty Jannetty continues. Garagiola introduces the next match.
4. Magnum TA vs. Yusuf Ishmail - #1 contender match
Magnum bounces Ishmail off the buckles and nearly decapitates him to start the match. Magnum hits an atomic drop for a two count. Magnum hits a running forearm for a two count. Magnum hits the belly to belly suplex but Ishmail gets his foot on the ropes before the three count. Ishmail makes a comeback and goes to work on Magnum’s ribs. Ishmail hits a falling body slam for a two count. Ishmail locks on the Stranglehold but Magnum backs him into the corner. Magnum makes a comeback but Ishmail rolls out of the ring before Magnum can capitalize on it. Ishmail ambushes Magnum as he comes outside and rolls him back into the ring. Magnum rolls out the other side and Ishmail comes after him. Magnum slams Ishmail into the ring post and rolls him back into the ring. Magnum hits an atomic drop and follows it up with the Belly to Belly suplex for the win.
Winner - Magnum TA by pinfall! Magnum TA has secured a shot at the Central States Heavyweight title!
Joe Garagiola and Larry Matysik put over Magnum TA and sign off, telling the fans to tune in next week when Ted DiBiase defends the gold against Jack Brisco!

Go Marty. Be curious to see if anyone can dethrone Ted before things end. They have until #30 to try. The current plan is to play year 3 of Legacy of Gold and return to CWFKC and USA Wrestling for a while. |

1. Sam Houston vs. Bob Roop
Houston has the early momentum but spends too much time showboating. Roop suplexes him all over the ring. Houston catches Roop with a small package for a two count. Houston hits a bulldog for a two count. Houston hits another bulldog for the win.
Winner - Sam Houston by pinfall
Matysik and Garagiola are shocked by the big win from Sam Houston. Larry throws it to Gordon Solie standing by with Lanny Poffo. Lanny says he talked to Magnum TA and thinks he can beat Yusuf Ishmail if he stays away from the Stranglehold. Lanny goes to his corner and his opponent is introduced.
2. Lanny Poffo vs. Yusuf Ishmail
Ishmail mauls Poffo and hits the neck wrencher, wearing the poet down. Ishmail locks on the body scissors and Poffo taps out.

Garagiola puts over Ishmail, as usual. Larry throws it to Gordon Solie standing by with Cowboy Bob Orton. Orton says he’ll beat Larry Hennig tonight or leave the territory. Orton goes to his corner while Mickey Garagiola introduces his opponent.
3. Cowboy Bob Orton vs. Larry Hennig
Orton and Hennig battle back and forth. Orton hits a superplex for a two count. Orton comes off the top with a flying body press but can’t get the three count. Orton hits another superplex for the win.
Winner - Cowboy Bob Orton by pinfall
Matysik and Garagiola introduce the main event.
4. Ted DiBIase with Harley Race vs. Jack Brisco - Central States Heavyweight title match
DiBiase adjusts his protective black glove before the match. Referee James Beard looks it over and sees no problem with it. Brisco lights DiBiase up at the opening bell and hits the rolling reverse cradle for a two count. Brisco locks on the figure four and DiBiase drags the two men to the ropes. Brisco throws DiBiase to the outside and DiBiase nails him with his black gloved hand. DiBIase throws Brisco back into the ring and whips him to the ropes. Brisco catches DiBiase with a small package for a two count. Harley Race is furious outside the ring and yells instructions at DiBIase. Brisco gets a two count with a rolling reverse cradle and hits another one for another near fall. The champion is in trouble. Brisco hits another rolling reverse cradle but DiBiase is able to kick out. Frustrated, Brisco throws the champion out of the ring. DiBiase nails Brisco with his black glove and goes on the attack. DiBiase hits a full power slam for a two count. DiBiase hits a neckbreaker drop for a two count. DiBiase locks on the figure four but Brisco is able to fight his way to the ropes. DiBiase and Brisco battle on the outside and things get heated. The referee warns them and DiBiase shoves the referee into the guardrail. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner - Jack Brisco by disqualification
Race is shouting at DiBIase after the match. DiBiase adjusts his black glove and decks Race. Race goes down hard. Brisco and DiBiase continue brawling until security arrives.
Joe Garagiola and Larry Matysik sign off, telling the fans to tune in next week when Ted DiBiase defends the gold against Magnum TA!

Mantell overpowers Brown and hits a butterfly suplex for a two count. Brickhouse makes a comeback and hits a flying body press for a two count. Brown hits a neckbreaker for a near fall. Brickhouse hits a second flying body press for the win.

Larry Matysik and Joe Garagiola put over the big win by Brickhouse Brown and introduce the next match.
2. Marty Jannetty vs. Yusuf Ishmail
Ishmail punches Jannetty in the nose and he goes down hard. Ishmail clamps on the body scissors and Jannetty submits.

Gordon Solie catches up with Yusuf Ishmail after the match. Yusuf slaps Gordon and puts on the Stranglehold! Jack Brisco makes the save and brawls with Ishmail. The show goes to commercial. When it returns, Gordon is shaken but in the ring with Brian Blair. He says a match between Jack Brisco and Yusuf Ishmail has been signed for next week and asks Blair for some thoughts on Cowboy Bob Orton. Blair says Orton is a great competitor but he’ll beat him 1-2-3 in the middle of the ring. Blair takes his corner and Mickey Garagiola introduces his opponent.
3. Brian Blair vs. Cowboy Bob Orton
Blair and Orton battle back and forth. Orton hits a kneeling neckbreaker for a quick win.
Winner - Cowboy Bob Orton by pinfall
Joe Garagiola and Larry Matysik put over Cowboy Bob Orton and plug next week’s main event of Jack Brisco vs. Yusuf Ishmail, adding that the winner will get a shot at the Central States Heavyweight title the following week. They introduce the main event.
4. Ted DiBiase vs. Magnum TA - Central States Heavyweight title match
Magnum unloads on the champion early on but can’t seem to get him in a pinning predicament. DiBiase hits a neckbreaker drop out of nowhere to turn the tide. DiBiase locks on the Figure Four but Magnum makes it to the ropes. DiBiase hits the full power slam for a two count. DiBiase turns away from the referee and adjusts his glove. DiBiase clocks Magnum with his black gloved fist and covers him for the three count.
Winner - Ted DiBiase by pinfall, his eleventh title defense
The crowd boos DiBiase and he holds his black gloved fist in the air in defiance. DiBiase gets on the mic and says he’ll do anything he has to do to hold on to the Central States Heavyweight championship!
Larry and Joe sign off, inviting the fans to tune in next week when Jack Brisco takes on Yusuf Ishmail with the winner getting a shot at the Central States Heavyweight Championship!
