- Savage pinned Brisco after a FLYING ELBOW DROP. -- Tokens: Savage 6 - Brisco 4
- Savage was busted open during this match. Interference by Martel helped Savage mount a big comeback.
BOBO BRAZIL def. Killer Kowalski in a tournament opening round match. **
- Brazil pinned Kowalski after a COCO BUTT. -- Tokens: Kowalski 4
HARLEY RACE def. Lou Thesz in a tournament opening round match. ****1/2
- Race pinned Thesz after a VERTICAL SUPLEX. -- Tokens: Race 4 - Thesz 6
- Race attacked before Gary Michael Cappetta finished the introductions! <Race started on Level 2 Offense.>
- Thesz was busted open during this match.
ED LEWIS (w/ John Pesek) def. Frank Gotch in a tournament opening round match. ***
- Lewis pinned Gotch with a STRANGLER'S HEADLOCK. -- Tokens: Lewis 2 - Gotch 5
- Interference by Pesek played a role in this tainted outcome.
QUEBECERS (Pierre Carl Ouellet & Jacques Rougeau) def. Love Brothers (Reginald & Hartford Love). **
- Ouellet pinned Hartford after teaming with Rougeau for a TOWER OF QUEBEC. -- Tokens: Ouellet 1 - Reginald 7, Hartford 1
- Gordon Solie conducted a post-match interview with the Quebecers. They issued an open challenge which was answered by Diamond Dallas Page, Brad Armstrong & Terry Gordy. The trio known as the Freebirds stated that two members of their group would face the Quebecers on the next card!

- Vampiro pinned Konnan after a NAIL IN THE COFFIN. -- Tokens: Vampiro 1 - Konnan 3
- Both men narrowly avoided disqualification during this wild affair.

PART TWO
RANDY SAVAGE (w/ Sherri Martel) def. Bobo Brazil in a tournament semifinal match. ****
- Savage pinned Brazil after a FLYING ELBOW DROP. -- Tokens: Savage 4 - Brazil 4
- Gordon Solie conducted a prematch interview with Savage and Martel. Taking exception to their insulting remarks, Brazil rushed the ring and a wild brawl erupted! Brazil gained the upper hand as the referee called for the match to begin. <Savage started on Level 3 Defense.>
- Once again, interference by Martel helped Savage avoid near certain defeat.
ED LEWIS (w/ John Pesek) def. Harley Race in a tournament semifinal match. ***1/2
- Lewis pinned Race with a STRANGLER'S HEADLOCK. -- Tokens: Lewis 2 - Race 6
- Race was busted open during this match. Lou Thesz arrived to prevent interference by Pesek. This led to a confrontation between him and Race, who made it clear that he did not want any help. Lewis capitalized on the distraction.
FABULOUS MOOLAH def. Trish Stratus. ****
- Moolah pinned Stratus after a body slam. -- Tokens: Moolah 3 - Stratus 4
NICK BOCKWINKEL & BLOND BOMBERS (Ray Stevens & Pat Patterson w/ Bobby Heenan) def. Bruiser Brody & Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal w/ Paul Ellering) via DQ. ***
- Brody was disqualified <out of the ring> when he slammed Patterson through a table. -- Tokens: Bockwinkel 3, Stevens 4, Patterson 1 - Brody 2, Hawk 6, Animal 4
- Hawk was busted open during this match. Ellering prevented Heenan from becoming a factor, but hot tempers caused things to spiral out of control.
RANDY SAVAGE (w/ Sherri Martel) def. Ed Lewis (w/ John Pesek) in a tournament final to win the C22 World Heavyweight Championship. ***1/2
- Savage pinned Lewis after a FLYING ELBOW DROP. -- Tokens: Savage 2 - Lewis 4
- Pesek tried to interfere, but Savage took him out!
- Bobo Brazil approached the ring after the bell to inform Savage that he was coming for the title and that Martel better not get in his way!
