Macho Man doing his thing claiming gold. Though I lean face Macho, the Savage/Martel pairing is very awesome as well.
Nice to see Jacques and Pierre win as well.

My virtual dice continue to absolutely love the Macho Man... And I'm certainly not complaining... I'm sure we'll get a face turn at some point, but I haven't used him as a heel very often... Looking forward to this title reign. And of course, I'm happy my Quebecers won... I am playing them as a face team for another change of pace. Stoked that you enjoyed the premier installment of Catch-22, my friend... We will see what shape it takes from here... Good times!

Everyone that Savage faced has the potential to request a rematch. Fun tournament Ironically, the only opponent that he defeated without help from Sensational Sherri is the one that he faced in the final -- 'Strangler' Ed Lewis... Adding to the craziness, Lewis received plenty of assistance himself to get to that point -- From his enforcer, John Pesek... Based on everything that went down, Brazil will get the first title shot. Already having lots of fun with this reboot, my friend... Very happy that you're along for the ride!

CATCH-22 Wrestling Wednesday Night Whiplash #1 00.Jan.05 Spotlight Studio, Cincinnati, OH
Hosted by Lance Russell & Gordon Solie
KONNAN def. George South. ** - Konnan pinned South after a NIAGARA DRIVER. -- Tokens: Konnan 2 - South 1 - Surprise interference by Vampiro nearly helped South score a major upset. Vampiro did not stick around to watch the outcome.
BLOND BOMBERS (Ray Stevens & Pat Patterson w/ Bobby Heenan) def. Frogman Leblanc & Nacho Barrera. * - Stevens pinned Leblanc after a BOMBS AWAY. -- Tokens: Leblanc 2 - Gordon Solie conducted a prematch interview with Heenan and the Bombers. They spoke passionately about their victory at PARADIGM SHIFT (while teaming with Nick Bockwinkel against Bruiser Brody & Road Warriors) and were clearly fired up! <Patterson started on Level 2 Offense.>
KILLER KOWALSKI def. SD Jones. * - Kowalski tapped out Jones with a KOWALSKI CLAW. -- Tokens: Jones 1 - Gordon Solie conducted a prematch interview with Kowalski. He spoke his mind, claiming that he would plow through the opposition in order to become the next C22 World Heavyweight Champion, before heading into the ring.
JACK BRISCO def. Steve Regal. *** - Brisco pinned Regal after a suplex assortment. -- Tokens: Brisco 2 - Regal 2
Lance Russell introduced a video package for AJ Styles, who will make his first appearance with Catch-22 Wrestling next week!
FREEBIRDS (Brad Armstrong & Terry Gordy w/ Diamond Dallas Page) def. Quebecers (Pierre Carl Ouellet & Jacques Rougeau). *** - Gordy pinned Ouellet after a POWERBOMB. -- Tokens: Armstrong 3 - Ouellet 1, Rougeau 4
NICK BOCKWINKEL (w/ Bobby Heenan) def. Bruiser Brody. ***1/2 - Bockwinkel tapped out Brody with a BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER. -- Tokens: Bockwinkel 4 - Brody 1 - Interference by Heenan helped Bockwinkel steal a tainted victory. - Gordon Solie conducted a post-match interview with Heenan and Bockwinkel. Both men expressed confidence that Bockwinkel could further prove his superiority by defeating Brody in a No Holds Barred match. Brody arrived and chased them away, accepting the implied challenge in the process. HUSS! HUSS!
HARLEY RACE & RANDY SAVAGE (w/ Sherri Martel) def. Bobo Brazil & Lou Thesz via DQ. dud - Brazil was disqualified <pin save> when Thesz broke up a near fall by grabbing Savage in a facelock and refusing to release the hold despite several warnings from the referee. -- Tokens: Race 3 - Race grabbed Gary Michael Cappetta while he was trying to complete the introductions. When he started making threats, Thesz rushed the ring to make the save! <Thesz started on Level 2 Offense.> - Cheap tactics put Brazil in a vulnerable position and Savage landed a FLYING ELBOW DROP that would have ended the match, but Thesz took matters into his own hands.

Nice win for Tricky Nicky. Fun to see the Bombers in action. I need to get them teaming up soon. This version of the Heenan Family could feasibly dominate their competition... I've always considered the Roadies the toughest tag team in the game... Now I think the Bombers are right up there alongside them. This was a really fun show for this fed's first TV style offering... Hope you enjoy what's to come, my friend... Many thanks for staying tuned! And Happy Holidays!
