ESPN's Marc Raimondi reports that Dragon Lee has signed with the company. The report says that he signed the deal earlier this month and he will start in January. No word on the exact date but the word is that he will start on the NXT brand.
Lee has been a champion in several major promotions including New Japan Pro Wrestling, Ring Of Honor, AAA and CMLL.
This is a huge deal for WWE as they have been looking for years for their next big Hispanic star that can boost ratings like Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio did. Lee can also help with the company's plans to expand with NXT brands in different countries.
"Dragon Lee is a tremendous talent that will immediately add value to the NXT roster," James Kimball, WWE's head of talent strategy and operations, said in a statement to ESPN. "This signing is reflective of WWE's renewed emphasis on globalizing our talent pipeline with Latin America positioned as a focal market."
Lee wrestled on the 8/28 episode of AEW Dynamite where he teamed with Rush and Andrade El Idolo in a Trios Tournament match against The Elite.

Hopefully then can figure out how to use Dragon Lee properly. They don't have a great track record with luchadors but hopefully that can change with the new-ish management.
