Glad to see one of the best "feds" on the boards return! It will be interesting to see if the bottom half of the bracket matches the intensity of the top half. There's some serious talent advancing in the tournament.

Already stoked for Sarge vs. Piper in the next round... But, first things first... Thesz going over.

Thank you everyone for the comments and predictions so far. On with the second half of the draw!
Lou Thesz (2) v. Billy Wicks (61)
Handshake at the bell. Thesz quickly gains control with a rolling short-arm scissors and then executes a THESZ PRESS for a one count from Morgan Dollar (R11/P3). Thesz moves into a double wristlock and Wicks submits to his own finisher (R4/P4).
Yikes! Statement victory from last runner up last year!
Next up . . . Magnum TA (31) v. Jim Londos (34)

Tough here, still I like Magnum just a bit better.

Thesz makes it look easy... Magnum vs. Londos has great potential... I do think Magnum needs to use his explosive offense to end this one quickly because the longer it goes, the more it favors the Greek superstar.

Magnum can win if he gets the early advantage but he's done once Londos starts hitting the add 1 moves. I guess I'm picking Londos.

Magnum TA (31) v. Jim Londos (34)
Handshake as Dick Woehrle watches on. Excellent counters to open. Allen manages a press slam to break things up. Dropkicks… on target. Press… 1, 2, ¾ (R2/P1). Allen maintains control with a scorpion death lock and then a series of jabs and headlocks. Londos counters a series of moves but Allen stops him again with another press slam. Londos avoids a leg drop but his headlock throw does not work. More back and forth counters. Whip to the corner, reversed, and reversed back… Londos hits hard and Allen lands a kick. Allen with a leg drop. Fireman’s carry is countered. Crotch lift and slam. BOSTON CRAB. Allen powers out (R8/P3). Standing toe hold ties up Allen. Londos has found his rhythm. Grinding armbar. Press slam gets Allen out of trouble again. Dropkicks down Londos. Abdominal stretch. Backdrop sends Londos to the mat. Dropkicks spills Londos outside. Trips over Dr. Mike Lano! Back in the ring, Allen opts to keep the action inside the ropes. Right jabs set up a running forearm. Hooks the leg for 1 only (R10/P2). Back to abdominal stretch. Rope break (R7/P3). Londos counters scorpion deathlock. Rabbit punches. Allen with dropkicks and an atomic drop. Right jabs blocked. Headlock throw countered. Backdrop blocked. Headscissors countered. ROARING OVATION. Allen with a whip to corner and kick. Running forearm. Another one. Scorpion deathlock… Londos struggles… ROARING. Rope break (R5/P4). BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX. 1, 2, 3/shoulder up! Quick count and Magnum moves on!
