Well, I'm a little disappointed that RVD got taken out on a low roll... But, there's no denying that JV is a tough competitor.

Power slam and cover . . . 1 Ā½ count (R5/P1). PATRIOT MISSLE . . . Gama powers out of the cover (R8/P2). Wilkes with a smash off the top. PATRIOT MISSLE connects for a another near fall (R8/P3). Gama into the ropes . . . tackle. Double leg takes it to the mat. Double leg and slam. Gama hooks the leg and advances (R2/P5).

A huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to drop a comment and make a pick along the way so far. The field has been reduced from 64 to 8. As in past years, this is the time where I ask everyone to pick who they think will win the entire thing.

For my own picks, the smart money is on Andre to come out of his side of draw. Who will battle the Giant in the finals is more of challenge. I think Thesz has the stuff to contend with all the remaining competitors in his half of the draw and will reach the finals for the second straight year. However, he will go home empty handed once again. My pick for the winner is Andre.

I'm going to go Andre vs Thesz in the finals with Andre taking it. Gama could play spoiler though.

It's impossible to count Thesz out, but I think the Giant is going one-on-one with the Great One in the final... I know I picked Andre to take it all at the beginning of the tournament, but I might have to change my pick... I've rolled a few matches between these two behemoths and Gama has never tasted defeat... That being said, I've never played this particular match using Andre's new color card.
I'll go on the record now:
Andre, Brazil, Thesz and Gama advance to the semifinals... With Gama going over against Andre in the final... Very exciting!
