BOSTON MARATHON FAMOUS DOG SPENCER DEAD AT 13 Spencer -- the dog who became a star for cheering on runners during the Boston Marathon each year -- has sadly passed away after battling cancer. He was 13.

Rick Newman, founder of the comedy club staple of the 70’s and 80’s, has passed away AT 81 Newman opened up the club in December 1972. Over the years, some of the biggest names in comedy passed through the club, including Andy Kaufman, Jerry Seinfeld, Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, Elayne Boosler, David Brenner, Larry David, Gilbert Gottfried, Eddie Murphy, Richard Lewis, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Louis C.K., Ray Romano, and countless others. Additionally, the club also featured singers, and was responsible for Pat Benatar’s big break. Newman even wound up representing her.
