 Former Child Star Evan Ellingson Dead at 35 Ellingson is perhaps best remembered starring opposite Cameron Diaz -- playing her teenage son -- in 2009's "My Sister's Keeper." He was also well-known for his recurring role as Kyle Harmon on "CSI: Miami" ... in which he starred for a total of 18 episodes over 3 years. He'd actually gotten his start in showbiz at the age of 13 with a small role in a TV movie as well as a guest appearance on 'General Hospital.' From there, EE went on to act in shows like 'Titus,' 'That Was Then,' 'Mad TV,' 'Complete Savages,' 'Bones,' '24' and others. Ellingson also acted in a handful of films, such as 'Walk the Talk,' 'Letters from Iwo Jima,' 'The Bondage,' 'Confession,' 'Rules of the Game,' 'Time Changer,' 'The Gristle' and more. |

  Pat E. Johnson, ‘Karate Kid’ Choreographer, Trainer and Referee, Dies at 84 Pat E. Johnson, the ninth-degree black belt and Chuck Norris contemporary who choreographed the fight scenes, trained the actors and portrayed a tournament referee in the first three Karate Kid films, has died. He was 84. Johnson also was a stuntperson, stunt coordinator, trainer and/or fight coordinator on Buffy the Vampire Slayer; on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Mortal Kombat movies; and on other films including Enter the Dragon (1973), To Live and Die in L.A. (1985), Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991), Batman and Robin (1997) and Wild Wild West (1999). |

 Philippines radio presenter is shot dead and robbed during Facebook livestream of his show by gunman pretending to be a listener Juan Jumalon, a 57-year-old news broadcaster, was shot twice during a morning broadcast in Calamba town on Sunday morning, police said. In livestream footage from Facebook, the journalist was seen looking up towards the door - out of view - as his attacker entered. |

 Shannon Wilcox, a prolific actress who appeared in Dallas, several Garry Marshall films and dozens of other movies and TV shows, has died. She was 80. A post today on Legacy.com said she died September 2 in Los Angeles. She also co-starred opposite Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson in the 1984 musical pic Songwriter. Wilcox’s best-known small-screen roles were a recurring gig as Anita in five episodes of the original Dallas and as a regular on Buck James, a medical drama starring Dennis Weaver that aired one season on ABC in 1987-88. |
