Thesz is a tough opponent for Savage. Fun show. Coming in hot certainly helped, but Thesz completely owned Savage in that match... Don't think an immediate rematch is in the cards -- Macho Madness is gonna take a little break... First up for the new champ will be the winner of the M.o.M. Battle Royal, Mark Henry. Truly appreciate the continued interest and kind words, my friend... Many thanks!

A little HEAD apparently goes a long way!

American Showdown Wrestling #15 BOCKWINKEL & BOMBERS vs. THUNDERBOLT & BRISCOS
BUDDY ROSE (w/ Sherri Martel) def. Nacho Barrera via pinfall after an INSIDE BACKBREAKER. -- Tokens: n/a -- Barrera shocked Rose with a respectable performance which caused Martel to have a tantrum at ringside.
YUKON ERIC def. Larry Sharpe via DQ <outside interference> when Angelo Mosca pulled the referee out of the ring to break up a near fall. -- Tokens: Sharpe 1 -- Eric appeared to have a submission victory within his grasp when he clamped on a KODIAK CRUNCH, but the sudden appearance of Mosca prevented a clean finish. -- Gordon Solie conducted a post-match interview with Larry Sharpe, but Eric interrupted the conversation. Eric was not happy with the outcome and offered Sharpe a chance to settle the matter in noble fashion. Before Sharpe could answer, Mosca blindsided Eric and a wild brawl erupted! As soon as Eric started to gain the upper hand, Mosca fled and Sharpe was left without any backup. Unable to control his anger at this point, Eric sent Sharpe crashing through a window! <Sharpe injured for 4 cards.>
VALIANT BROTHERS (Johnny & Jimmy Valiant) def. Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) to retain the LWGP World Tag Team Championship. Johnny pinned Rogers after teaming with Jimmy for a SUPER ELBOW. -- Tokens: Rogers 1 -- This was a successful version one title defense. -- Gordon Solie conducted a prematch interview with the Valiant Brothers. They immediately started with the insults, claiming the Fantastics did not deserve this title shot. The Fantastics rushed at the champions, leading to a wild brawl! Taking out Jimmy with a whip into a corner post, they quickly moved the fight into the ring and dropped Johnny with a double hip toss as the referee called for the opening bell. <Johnny started on Level 3 Defense.> -- Coming in hot, the Fantastics executed a series of dynamic double team moves. However, a clever blind tag by the Valiants instantly turned the tide. -- Gordon Solie conducted a post-match interview with the Fantastics. Although they were disappointed with the outcome, they made no excuses. They wanted to move forward and hearing that the Sheepherders were in the building, they were eager for a fight. The Sheepherders stomped towards the ringside area to accept the challenge!
DAN SEVERN def. Magnum T.A. via DQ <outside inteference> when Ken Shamrock attacked Severn to break up a near fall. -- Tokens: Magnum 2 -- A few cheap shots out on the floor allowed Severn to gain full control of the match and he trapped Magnum with an ARMBAR. In a fit of rage, Shamrock rushed the ring. He pulled Severn away from his opponent and dropped him with a belly to belly suplex!
-- PIPER'S PIT -- Roddy Piper's guest was Al Snow, who was referring to himself as the 'giant killer' because of his victory over Big Van Vader on the previous card. He said he was looking forward to facing another big man in the near future, so he could chop him down to size. Piper was not impressed and suggested that Snow should probably quit while he was still ahead.
TULLY BLANCHARD def. Ken Shamrock via pinfall after a SLINGSHOT SUPLEX. -- Tokens: Shamrock 2 -- Shamrock clearly dominated the action inside the ring, but Blanchard employed some illegal tactics to secure the upper hand. -- Gordon Solie conducted a post-match interview with Tully Blanchard. He waved off any questions about breaking the rules, indicating that he was more interested in teaching Magnum T.A. a few lessons. Magnum instantly arrived to accept the implied challenge!
JACK BRISCO, JERRY BRISCO & THUNDERBOLT PATTERSON def. Nick Bockwinkel & Blond Bombers (Ray Stevens & Pat Patterson w/ Bobby Heenan) via submission when Jack Brisco tapped out Bockwinkel with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. -- Tokens: Bockwinkel 2 - The former LWGP United Open Champion came into this match looking for payback against Bockwinkel for stealing the title under very questionable circumstances. He got what he was looking for in this virtual squash! While Jerry and Thunderbolt ensured that the Bombers could not intervene, Jack Brisco unloaded on Bockwinkel and Heenan was unable to make a difference. - Gordon Solie conducted a post-match interview with Jack Brisco and he was not shy about wanting a final showdown with Bockwinkel for the LWGP United Open Championship. He challenged Bockwinkel to an 'I Quit' match and promised that he would walk away if he did not emerge victorious. Ignoring the objections voiced by his manager, Bockwinkel accepted the challenge!

A Nacho sighting.
Nice to see the Valiants having a grip on the gold. Shame the main event wasn't bigger but I'm looking forward to that I Quit match.

A Nacho sighting. Nice to see the Valiants having a grip on the gold. Shame the main event wasn't bigger but I'm looking forward to that I Quit match. Nacho had a nice, little run on offense too... Enough to make the Playboy a little nervous anyway. 😯 Hopefully, the 'I Quit' sequel to Brisco vs. Bockwinkel delivers... Always appreciate the great feedback, my friend... Many thanks!

Great last couple of shows. It was cool to see the Valiant Brothers win the tag titles, especially from the double tough Road Warriors. I wasn't surprised to see Lou Thesz win the world title from Randy Savage in the cage. It's tough to hold of Thesz once let alone twice.
I'm really liking the Yukon Eric vs. Angelo Mosca feud but poor Larry Sharpe getting put through a window! I'm also really enjoying the Jack Brisco vs. Nick Bockwinkel rivalry.
