Vader and Scorpio I believe also teamed in Japan for a while as did Vader and Hansen. Was that Vader and Hansen team pre-Hansen-Vader-eyeball-pullout? |

It was in the late 90s in All Japan...so after. I think like 90% of their matches together were in the World Tag League in either 97 and 98 or 98 and 99.

Adrian Street & Jimmy Valiant briefly teamed as Punk-Funk Connection against Paul Jones' Army. I recently had these two team up after Adrian Street turned face. He was attacked by the Texas Hangmen for some comment he said about their manager Rock Riddle. Left embarrassed during an interview that Adrian and Miss Linda crashed. Jimmy Valiant saved him as Jimmy has some heat with Rock Riddle's stable to begin with. The Punk-Funk Connection reunites! |

Jimmy Valiant saved him as Jimmy has some heat with Rock Riddle's stable to begin with. The Punk-Funk Connection reunites! I had them team up once in Rebel Wrestling. They lost all their matches when Valiant got pinned. Their last loss was to Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake & Greg Valentine(before we got the Dream Team cards). Beefcake put Valiant to sleep and went for the haircut, but Street stopped it. Then Street grabbed the scissors and cut off some of Valiant's hair. That led to a match where Street & Gorgeous George teamed up to cut more of Valiant's hair, shave off his beard, and put makeup & lipstick on his face. Street & George became the Flamboyant Ones(before we got Fabulous Ones), and Jimmy brought in his brother Johnny so I could use the Valiant Brothers cards. I'm toying with the idea of Jimmy Hart kicking Street out of First Family. Street lost the Mid-America Continental Title to Austin Idol, and then lost the rematch in a Ladder Match. If that happens, I'll have Valiant run out to help Street fight off First Family while Boogie Woogie Man's music "Jim Dandy To The Rescue" by Black Oak Arkansas plays. Then Valiant can say something like "Ol' Jim Dandy hasn't forgot about what you did to me, but I can forgive you". Fans would cheer the reunion of the P-Funk Connection! |
