Of all the wrestlers that have color cards in the game (Legends or Indy), Jon Moxley is the one that I feel desperately needs an update... AJ Styles, Bryan Danielson, Tyler Black, Jay & Mark Briscoe, Christopher Daniels... Arguments could be made that guys like these (and many more) deserve to be part of the Legends brand... But in all honesty, they all have indy cards that can hold their own against most of the Legends... Moxley, on the other hand... Hmmmm, I think not. There are others that I might put in this boat as well - Drew Galloway and Tommy End instantly come to mind. But, in cases like these, I think waiting is probably more prudent because it's possible they have more to accomplish than what we've already witnessed. I'd also love to see a special edition Brodie Lee card someday... Assuming that all the proper permissions are in place for something like that to happen. And then there's good, ol' DDP... The one mountain upon which I'm prepared to die. LOL! Seriously though, it's never been about the stats for me... I think Cory Olson was right and his CAC card is pretty much where it should be ( pikemojo might school me on this statement and I would happily defer to his expertise on the subject)... However, I cannot think of one other Legends card where the artwork does not represent the wrestler in pretty much the prime of their career. Conversations like these remain one of my favorite aspects of this community... Thank you to all the hosts of Uncharted Territory for constantly opening these doors, sharing their own points of view in the process... Always nicely done! I don't feel any big desire to see guys like Moxley, AJ, Danielson, etc. in Legends just yet. Like you said, most of them have cards that fit pretty well with Legends. I'm no big Moxley fan but his best color card is probably a mid-carder and he's certainly deserving of a Legends upgrade at some point. As for DDP, I'd love to one day see a new card for him. His art really looks like him but does not represent his wrestling career very well. We need one with the mullet, plain and simple. I wouldn't argue with his stats getting a little upgrade but I've always really liked the way his current card plays. Where he stands right now, he is pretty solidly in the mid-card range as well and DDP was a 3 time WCW champ during one of the hottest time in modern wrestling.

It's been a while but I recall the art on the DDP card being at his request to go with his yoga branding. I agree that the card is stat wise pretty much where it needs to be.
Also agree that Moxley is the only modern era guy who has a weaker card than he should. Opinions aside, he's been WWE champion and AEW champion and positioned at or near the top in the two major promotions over the past 6-8 years. I honestly don't think a new card is a possibility but I agree with the sentiment at least.

It's been a while but I recall the art on the DDP card being at his request to go with his yoga branding. Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is the case as well... Although I'm not sure where I heard it... And I have no objections with the artwork itself - It's extremely well done... Simply hoping that it wouldn't automatically negate the possibility of doing another card with a younger look (maybe as a single card special edition or a convention release of some kind)... Just putting it out there!

I remember years ago when Jakks did the Classic Superstars action figures the company caught flack for doing a then current look DDP instead of WCW era and the guy running the line (Jeremy Padawer) had to come on social media and clarify that's what DDP wanted and the only way they could get the figure made. I know he's softened on this now because Mattel had done classic look DDP figures, so IF another card could get made maybe we can get WCW prime era art.

Loved this week's discussion. I always thought having a Strat-O-Matic style yearly set for LOW would be awesome, but obviously impossible if you do not have the entire roster signed.
Really appreciate all of the hard work and time that Tim put in to bringing this to life. The research and detail is incredible. Creating stats for an entire roster and the match viewing that entails is one thing, but the bonus material around who was active when, the arenas, storylines... those extra details really help someone to immerse themselves in that year even more.
It is awesome that this game and community exists to help people relive their childhoods, pass the time, find creative outlets and even to make it through hard times.

Another Fantastic Episode!
On the multiple cards topic...I concur that there should be multiple cards if there is enough change in the moveset or gimmick. My feeling on the Kevin Sullivan discussion was that I would NOT want to see separate cards for the Varsity Squad nor Taskmaster (I really did not like the Taskmaster gimmick at all), but the younger Sullivan...that would be fun to see.

BTW the star of Episode 116 was the fox that was not a fox but a cone as Grant so beautifully provided a graphic for earlier in this thread.

I have started listening to this episode but I still have a ways to go (I am at the 27 minute mark and now have almost 47 minutes to go.)
Overall, I agree on limiting the number of cards for different versions of LOW wrestlers. But for somebody like Adrian Adonis (who appeared in not just one but in two Wrestlemanias as his Adorable Adrian persona,) the different version is completely understandable. I was really glad to get that card!
I look forward to listening to the remainder of this podcast!

Pretty weak shoutout to me Chad Olson. I had to listen back again to make sure you mentioned me.

Tim's WWWF sets are awesome and the time and dedication he put into them was nothing short of incredible.
Bring back the NWF...
