LWF Legacy of Gold 4.72 Ventura and Solie welcome the fans to the show and plug the main event, Nick Bockwinkel vs. Pepper Gomez for the LWF World Heavyweight title. Ventura reminds the fans that the Mile High Cup tournament is just three weeks away. Solie adds that Sgt Slaughter will receive a shot at the LWF World Heavyweight title at the Mile High Cup event and the Midnight Express will receive a shot at the LWF World Tag Team title. Ventura introduces the first match.
1. Armstrong & Patterson vs. McGuinness & Taylor Armstrong and McGuinness start the match. Armstrong and Patterson double team Nigel. Patterson hits the head butt for a two count. Patterson tags in Armstrong. Armstrong hits the Russian Leg Sweep for a two count. Armstrong hits another Russian Leg Sweep and tags in Patterson. Patterson hits another head butt but Nigel won’t stay down. Patterson hits another head butt but Taylor makes the save. NIgel makes a comeback and tags in Taylor. Armstrong turns things around and tags in Patterson. Taylor and Patterson battle back and forth. Patterson nails Taylor with a right uppercut for a two count. Taylor turns things around but can’t keep any momentum going. Patterson nails him with another right uppercut for a two count and tags in Armstrong. Dutch and Corino battle outside the ring and Corino comes out on top. Corino goes to the top rope but Dutch clotheslines him out of the air and covers him for a two count. Dutch hits the Double Dutch Clutch for the win.

3. Manny Fernandez vs. Stevie Richards Manny goes to work on Stevie and nails him with the flying burrito for a two count. Manny and Stevie trade the advantage back and forth. Stevie nails Manny with a Stevie Kick for a two count. Manny comes back and hits a gut wrench suplex for a two count. Stevie bounces back and hits another Stevie Kick but can’t put Manny away. Manny makes a comeback and hits a flying backroll press for a two count. Manny hits another flying burrito but Stevie gets his foot on the ropes. Manny nails Richards with a third flying burrito but Stevie again gets his foot on the ropes before the three count. Stevie makes a comeback but Manny shuts him down and hits a scoop slam for a two count. Fernandez hits a fourth flying burrito for the win.

Ventura puts over Manny Fernandez. Solie leaves the booth to get a word with Tully Blanchard. Blanchard says he’ll make Scorpio pay for using a foreign object last time and is gunning for the big gold belt. Solie heads back to the booth and Tully takes his corner.
4. Tully Blanchard vs. 2 Cold Scorpio Tully takes Scorpio down with an armbar and drills him with a foreign object. Scorpio makes a comeback but Blanchard goes back to the foreign object. Tully hits a backward elbow smash for a two count. Tully nails Scorpio with the foreign object a third time and Scorpio is a bloody mess. Blanchard hits the slingshot suplex for the win.

5. Monroe & Gilbert vs. PG-13 Gilbert and Wolfie start the match. PG-13 wear Gilbert down with quick tags. Gilbert gets some momentum going and hits the running knee lift for a two count. Gilbert tags in Monroe. Monroe knocks Wolfie off the apron and hits a neckbreaker on Ice for the win.

6. Nick Bockwinkel vs. Pepper Gomez - LWF World Heavyweight title match Bockwinkel takes over at the opening bell and works Pepper over. Bockwinkel hits a back suplex for a two count. Pepper rocks Bockwinkel with flying headscissors and a wind-up punch to the stomach. Pepper whips Bockwinkel to the ropes. Bockwinkel rolls Gomez up and puts his feet on the ropes for added leverage to get the three count.

1. Cowboy Bob Orton Vs. Scott Casey Orton quickly plants Casey and hits the superplex. Casey gets his shoulder up before the three count. Casey tries mounting a comeback but Orton shuts him down and hits a double underhook for a two count. Casey fires back and hits a powerslam for a two count. Casey nails Orton with a knee lift for a two count. Casey hits the bulldog for the win!

Ventura says Orton took Casey too lightly and paid the price. Solie introduces the next match.
2. Brunzell & Mulligan vs. Texas Hangmen Brunzell and Killer start the match. Killer goes on the attack and hits a bulldog for a two count. Brunzell bounces back with a flying headscissors for a two count. Ventura reminds the audience that that’s the move that beat Muraco and Gama in the Muchnick Cup. Brunzell tags in Mulligan. Killer makes the tag to Psycho. Mulligan and Psycho battle back and forth. Psycho chokes Mulligan with the bullrope, wearing him down. Psycho hits a swinging neckbreaker for a two count and tags in Killer. The Hangmen hit the Hangmen Backbreaker for a two count. Mulligan makes a comeback and wares Psycho down with the Trapezius Claw. Mulligan tags in Brunzell. Brunzell hits the high flying dropkick for the win.

Ventura says that was a much needed win by Morris. Solie leaves the booth to get a word with Windham. Windham says the loss to Sgt Slaughter hurt but he’s not giving up and going to the top. Windham is fired up and circles the ring while Dan Spivey makes his way to ringside.
4. Dan Spivey vs. Barry Windham Windham scoops Spivey up at the bell and hits a power slam for a two count. The match spills out of the ring and Spivey nails Windham with a chair. The referee calls for the bell.

Spivey and Windham continue brawling until security pulls them apart. Ventura says they’ve received word from the back that Spivey and Windham will battle again on Thursday.in the main event! Solie introduces the next match.
5. Stars & Stripes vs. Studd & Kowalski The Patriot and Big John Studd start the match. Studd scoops up the Patriot and hits a backbreaker for a two count. Studd hoists up the Patriot in the over the shoulder backbreaker, wearing him down. Studd tags in Kowalski. Kowalski locks on the claw but the Patriot fights his way to the ropes. Kowalski locks on the claw a second time but Bagwell makes the save. Studd takes out Bagwell and Kowalski hits the Bombs Away for the win.
Winners - Studd & Kowalski by pinfall
Ventura says Studd & Kowalski could give the Miracle VIolence Connection a run for their money. Solie introduces the main event.
6. Kurt Angle vs. Antonio Inoki Inoki and Angle come out swinging for the fences. Inoki and Angle battle back and forth. Inoki hits the belly to back suplex for a two count. Inoki drills Angle with an Enzuigiri for the win.
Winner - Antonio Inoki by pinfall
Ventura says Angle’s head wasn’t in the game and wants to see the two men fight again. Inoki offers his hand to Angle after the match. Angle hits a double leg takedown and the two men grapple until security arrives.
Solie signs off, thanking the fans for tuning in and invites them to tune in Thursday for the rematch between Dan Spivey and Barry Windham in the main event.

Really enjoyed that instead of a wild brawl, Angle and Inoki engaged in a little shoot grappling after the bell until security arrived... Very appropriate. HA!

Solie reminds the fans that the Mile High Cup is just over two weeks away following Legacy of Gold 4.78 and makes the bombshell announcement that Kurt Angle will take on Antonio Inoki in the first round. Angle vows he’ll win the tournament or leave the territory. Ventura introduces the first match..
1. Harley Race Vs. Mike Jackson Race goes after Jackson’s leg at the opening bell. Race wears Jackson down with two Indian Deathlocks and hits the Piledriver for the win.
Winner - Harley Race by pinfall
Ventura says Race is his pick to win the Mile High Cup. Solie introduces the next match.
2. Brody & Mosca vs. The Hillbillies Brody bulldozes Hillbilly Jim at the opening bell and hits the Jumping Knee drop but Cousin Luke makes the save. Brody tags in Mosca and Mosca nails Jim with an elbow smash to the face for a two count. Mosca hits another elbow smash to the face and tags in Brody. Brody hits another jumping knee drop for the win.

Ventura says it’s a tough call but he thinks Randy Savage will go far in the Mile High Cup tournament in a couple weeks. Solie leaves the booth to get a word with Jim Londos. Londos says his time in the LWF is winding down and he challenges William Muldoon to a match, saying Muldoon is one of the people in the LWF he really wants to wrestle before he leaves town. Solie returns to the booth and Ventura wonders if the Mile High Cup will be Londos’ swan song.
4. Jim Londos vs. Manny Fernandez Fernandez takes Londos by surprise at the opening bell and goes on a tear. Fernandez hits the flying burrito for a near fall. Fernandez hits the flying backroll press for a two count and another flying burrito but Londos gets his foot on the ropes. Fernandez throws Londos out of the ring and nails him with a flying burrito on the outside. Londos is counted out.

Ventura puts over Fernandez and says Londos might not even qualify for the Mile High Cup tournament at this rate. Solie introduces the next match.

1. Stars & Stripes vs. PG-13 Bagwell & JC Ice start the match. Ice beats up Bagwell outside the ring. Bagwell hits the Yellowjacket Suplex but Wolfie makes the save. Bagwell tags in The Patriot. They hit the Star Spangled Suplex for the win.

Brody hits the Jumping Knee Drop and tags in Mosca. Mosca hits an elbow smash to the face and whips Blackjack to the buckles. Blackjack crushes him with a lariat and covers him for a two count. Mulligan locks on the Blackjack Claw but Mosca gets to the ropes. Mulligan tags in Brunzell. Brunzell wears Mosca down with the abdominal stretch. Mosca rolls out of the ring. Brunzell goes out after him and Mosca takes his head off with a clothesline. Mosca rolls Brunzell back into the ring. Mosca wears Brunzell down with a sleeper and hits an elbow smash to the face. Mosca tags in Brody. Brody hits a jumping knee drop for a two count. Brody hits another Jumping Knee Drop and in comes Blackjack Mulligan! Mulligan boots Brody in the face and Brunzell recovers. Brody leaves the ring and ambushes Brunzell when he comes out. Brody rolls Brunzell back into the ring and hits the jumping knee drop but Brunzell gets his foot on the ropes! Frustrated, Brody tags in Mosca. Mosca nails Brunzell with an elbow smash to the face. Brunzell makes a comeback and hits a jumping knee smash for a two count. Brunzell makes the hot tag to Mulligan. Mulligan and Mosca battle back and forth. Mulligan hits the back elbow ram for a two count. Mulligan hits a big boot to the face and covers Mosca but Brody makes the save. Mulligan clamps on the Blackjack Claw but Mosca gets to the ropes. Mosca makes a desperation tag to Brody. Brody turns things around and hits the one hand body slam for the win.

Brody and Mosca are celebrating after the match when the Fabulous Kangaroos and Red Berry attack them from behind. Once Mosca and Brody are down, the Kangaroos attack Brunzell and Mulligan as well! Security mobs the ring.
