A cheap win for Windham, but a win nonetheless... Looks like he was pretty fortunate that Papa Bear was in his corner to help keep his title reign intact... Very excited that DDP will get his opportunity for payback during the Tokyo Cup event... BANG!
Rocca has been pretty hot lately and I gotta think he's moving up in the ranks... And we've gotta huge match coming up between Bamm Bamm and Dr Death... A case of good friends/better enemies, if I've ever seen one... Awesome stuff!

LWF Legacy of Gold 5.13 Ventura and Solie welcome the fans to the final episode of Legacy of Gold before the Tokyo Cup. Solie says theyโll reveal the opening round brackets at the end of the program since some wrestlers featured tonight are on the cusp of winning or losing a spot in the tournament. Ventura introduces the first match.
1. Too Cool vs. McCord & Kernodle Christopher and McCord start the match. McCord takes the momentum and dominates Christopher. McCord hits the flying body press and Rocky holds off Taylor while the referee makes the three count.
Winners - McCord & Kernodle by pinfall
Ventura says even a broken clock is right twice a day. Solie introduces the next match.
2. Billy Wicks vs. Pampero Firpo Wicks has the early momentum but Firpo takes over and takes the fight to the floor. Wicks makes a comeback and clamps on the abdominal stretch, wearing Firpo down. Wicks locks on the double wristlock but Firpo escapes the hold. Firpo recovers and whips Wicks to the buckles. Wicks rolls him up for a two count. Firpo makes a comeback and hits three knee lifts and covers Wicks for a two count. Wicks makes a comeback and clamps on the double wristlock but Firpo fights his way to the ropes. Wicks hits a bulldog for the win.

Solie says we wonโt know for sure until the end of the show but Wicks is right on the edge of qualifying for the Tokyo Cup tournament. Ventura introduces the next match.
3. Rob Van Dam vs. Rick Rude - No DQ Van Dam and Rude come out throwing bombs. Rude beats up Van Dam on the concrete and hits a top rope knee drop for a two count. Rude hits the Rude Awakening but Van Dam gets his foot on the ropes. Van Dam makes a comeback and hits the five star frog splash for a two count. Van Dam and Rude battle back and forth. Van Dam hits the rolling thunder for a two count. Van Dam hits another five star frog splash for a two count. Van Dam beats up Rude on the concrete and hits another Five Star Frog Splash for the win.

Ventura puts over Rob Van Dam. Solie introduces the next match.
4. Mil Mascaras vs. Manny Fernandez Mascaras and Fernandez battle back and forth. Mascaras hits a sunset flip for a two count. Mascaras hits the crossbody attack for a near fall. Mascaras hits a flying body press for the win.

5. Dutch & Koko vs. Stars & Stripes Koko and Bagwell start the match. Koko works over Bagwell and hits a suplex for a two count. Koko hits a missile dropkick for a two count and tags in Dutch. Dutch beats up Bagwell outside the ring and hits the double Dutch Clutch. The Patriot attacks Dutch from behind and hits the Uncle Slam. The referee calls for the bell.

Ventura and Solie introduce the main event. Solie says the winner of this match has a good chance of winning the Tokyo Cup tournament.

Tokyo Cup Night 1 Ventura and Solie welcome the fans to the show and promise to stay out of the way and let the matches speak for themselves. Solie introduces the first match, reminding fans Jerry Lynn beat Mil Mascaras in last yearโs Tokyo Cup tournament en route to the finals.
1. Jerry Lynn vs. Mil Mascaras Mascaras and Lynn battle back and forth. Lynn nails Mascaras with a sunset flip power bomb on the outside. Lynn throws him back into the ring. Lynn hits a guillotine leg drop for a two count. Lynn hits a top rope huracanrana for a two count. Mascaras makes a comeback and hits the flying body press for a two count. Lynn makes a comeback but Mascaras shuts him down and locks on the Indian Deathlock, wearing him down. Mascaras goes to the top but Lynn throws him to the mat. Lynn hits a DDT for the win.
Winner - Jerry Lynn by pinfall
2. Lou Thesz vs. Bull Curry Curry and Thesz battle back and forth. Curry goes for a body slam but Thesz blocks hit and hits the Greco Roman Backdrop for a two count. Thesz hits a power bomb for a two count and the match spills out of the ring. Curry slams Thesz into the guardrail and rolls him back into the ring. Curry throws Thesz back out of the ring and body slams him on the concrete. Thesz beats the count back into the ring but is shaken up. Curry nails Thesz with brass knuckles for a two count. Curry smashes Thesz with a chair and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner - Lou Thesz by DQ. Thesz will wrestle Lynn in the second round later tonight.

Wicks wears Rocca down and locks on the double wristlock again but Rocca is able to break the hold. Wicks and Rocca battle on the outside and Wicks rams Roccaโs arm into the ringpost. Rocca is nearly counted out but rolls back into the ring. Wicks locks on the double wristlock and Rocca taps out.
Winner - Billy Wicks by submission
4. Frank Gotch vs. Cowboy Bob Orton Orton gets the advantage at the bell and hits a vertical suplex for a two count. Orton and Gotch battle back and forth. Orton hits the superplex for the win.
Winner - Cowboy Bob Orton by pinfall. Orton will face Wicks in the second round later tonight.
5. Dynamite Kid vs. Rick Rude Rude and Dynamite battle back and forth. Dynamite gets some momentum going and hits a tombstone for a two count. Dynamite goes for a flying body press from the top. Rude rolls through and grabs a handful of tights to get the three count.

6. Giant Baba vs. Kurt Angle Angle and Baba battle back and forth. Angle tears into Baba and hits the Olympic Slam for a two count. Baba makes a comeback. Angle hits a German Suplex but Baba keeps on coming. Baba chops Angle all over the ring. Angle makes a comeback and whips Baba to the buckles. Baba crushes Angle with a lariat and covers him for a two count. Angle makes a comeback and hits an overhead belly to belly for a two count. Angle pulls down the straps. Angle locks on the Ankle Lock. Baba taps out.
Winner - Kurt Angle by submission. Angle will face Rick Rude in the second round later tonight.
7. Jerry Lynn vs. Lou Thesz - second round Lynn and Thesz grapple back and forth. Thesz gets control and hits a dropkick for a two count. Thesz hits the Thesz Press but Lynn kicks out. Thesz hits the Greco Roman Backdrop for the win.

8. Billy Wicks vs. Cowboy Bob Orton - second round Wicks quickly has Orton on the mat but canโt follow up on it. Orton throws Wicks out of the ring and body slams him on the concrete. Wicks beats the count back into the ring. Orton hits the superplex for a two count. Wicks makes a comeback and clamps on the sleeper but Orton makes it to the ropes. Orton makes a comeback but Wicks shuts him down and locks on the double wristlock. Orton quickly taps out.
Winner - Billy Wicks by submission. Wicks advances to the round robin finals.
Orton is favoring his arm after the match and the referee calls for medical assistance. Once Orton is fitted with a brace, he is helped to the back and the participants in the final second round match make their way to the ring.
9. Rick Rude vs. Kurt Angle - second round Rude gets the momentum at the bell and hits a backbreaker for a two count. Angle makes a comeback and locks on the Ankle Lock but Rude makes it to the ropes. Angle locks on the Ankle Lock a second time but Rude fights his way to the ropes. Angle switches gears and hits the Olympic Slam for the win.
Winner - Kurt Angle by submission. Angle will wrestle Lou Thesz and Billy Wicks in the round robin finals tomorrow night.
