There's some great make shift tag teams you have there Cory. The one thing about Legends is you kind of feel like you're painted into a corner. Meaning, this guy wrestled in this territory so that's where he has to go, or this guy was a heel for MOST of his career so he has to be a heel for me. This guy teamed with this guy so they have to be team in my fed. It's refreshing to see thinking outside the box.

Great episode. Always like the deep dives into people’s feds.
I was playing COTG before Legends, but I never felt the pressure to use the guys in any order. I didn’t even use all the guys from the initial starter set in my first cards (Sorry, Buddy Rogers.) I’ve always seen it as a pick and choose type thing. That said, I would run ‘rookie nights’ where I’d run a double elimination tournament to see if any guys I wasn’t that into impressed me. Terry Gordy did the first year and got a run in my fed.
Anyway, again, great episode.

that Devo video...WTF did I just watch? I admit that I was not familiar with "Jocko" until I heard Brian Last talk about it on Jim Cornette's Drive-Thru back in 2020. At the start of the pandemic, I was looking up a lot of music on YouTube and decided to check on that one. I quickly became obsessed with it and began to listen to more Devo stuff. I had previously only really known "Whip It." |

that Devo video...WTF did I just watch? I admit that I was not familiar with "Jocko" until I heard Brian Last talk about it on Jim Cornette's Drive-Thru back in 2020. At the start of the pandemic, I was looking up a lot of music on YouTube and decided to check on that one. I quickly became obsessed with it and began to listen to more Devo stuff. I had previously only really known "Whip It." Well on the plus side, having my Legends fed mentioned got me to write out my next card. Dice to roll tomorrow hopefully! |

Just going to echo the sentiments already expressed by some of our friends and fellow promoters... Really enjoyed the deep dive into one of the most prolific Legends feds on the boards... The dedication of Cory Olson to his USWA is without equal and hearing a few tales of its earlier exploits is an awesome inspiration to anyone that plays the game... Or anyone who is just getting started for that matter. |
