I've been running this for a bit more than a year now, and for some reason it just hit me that I've never posted the results here...so I'm looking to rectify that. There's live play videos on YouTube for some of the cards, and when appropriate, I'll try to remember to post the link to them as well as the results. I've got 5 game years to get through, and I don't want to just drown everyone with results (since there's not a ton of story at this point) so I'll probably post in 4 card blocks once or twice a week until I'm caught up here.
Some info about the universe. This is a chronological universe, I started in what would be approximately 1920 and am going forward in 5 year increments until I hit 1950, at which point it'll progress yearly. I run one card per month (these are not the only wrestling events that happen in the universe, they're just the "major" cards) This gives me some flexibility if I want to go back and use a card that comes out while I'm well passed that era to go back and a "retrospective" or whatever playing matches with that wrestler from non-major cards. Obviously this has the drawback that I can't really insert them into the title picture, so they'll never win titles or anything, but c'est la vie. I may also bring a card in MUCH later than it's debut date if I want to. I like the structure of having the chronological debuts, but I'm also not above bending things a bit for my own enjoyment, this is supposed to be fun after all... Also, the game years are necessarily tied to real life years in terms of debut, but they DO NOT represent any particular year. I'm currently in year 6 which is the first half of the 1940s as far as debuts go, but guys like Farmer Burns and Tom Jenkins are still active. I have a system in place that uses total accumulated fatigue tokens over the career of the card to handle retirement.
In this universe, wrestling is promoted and booked by two federal governing bodies, the National Bureau of Boxing and Wrestling (NBBW) and the National Wrestling Commission (NWC). I'll include information about them in later posts. These governing bodies are made up of state athletic commissions so basically each state recognizes one governing body or the other.

NATIONAL BUREAU OF BOXING AND WRESTLING
The National Bereau of Boxing and Wrestling, or NBBW for short, is the original governing body for wrestling in the United States. It was founded 15 years prior to the NWC to oversee boxing and wrestling events. Until year 1 it had no competition and all 50 state athletic commissions were members of the Bureau. In recent times, the NBBW has concerned itself more with regulating boxing than wrestling which left a need for another organization to step in and regulate wrestling. The lack of attention paid to wrestling by the NBBW was the direct reason for the creation of the National Wrestling Commission, who many fans and sportswriters see as the more serious option in sanctioning wrestling events and titles. Even though fans and journalists see the upstart NWC as the more serious of the two regulating bodies, the NBBW is older and has far more state support.
The NBBW sanctions 3 main titles: the NBBW World's Heavyweight Title, the NBBW World's Womens Title, and the NBBW World's Jr. Heavyweight Title. The NBBW does not recognize any other titles.
There are 30 states that recognize the NBBW as the governing body of wrestling for events held within their borders: - Alabama - Alaska - Arkansas - Delaware - Idaho - Indiana - Iowa - Kansas - Louisiana - Maryland - Mississippi - Missouri - Montana - Nebraska - Nevada - New Jersey - North Carolina - North Dakota - Ohio - Oregon - Pennsylvania - South Carolina - South Dakota - Tennessee - Utah - Virginia - Washington - West Virginia - Wisconsin - Wyoming

NATIONAL WRESTLING COMMISSION
The National Wrestling Commission, frequently referred to as the NWC, was founded in year 1 and is the newest governing body to regulate wrestling in the United States. It was created due to the former regulating body, the National Bureau of Boxing and Wrestling (NBBW), concerning itself primarily with the sport of boxing and failing to properly handle wrestling. While recognized as the authority in less states than the NBBW, the NWC is seen by many to be the more serious organization, and as such, it's titles and standings have quickly gained traction amongst more serious wrestling fans and journalists.
The NWC sanctions the NWC World's Heavyweight Title, but recognizes the titles sanctioned by the NBBW as well as several the titles of international governing bodies.
The NWC is recognized by 20 states as the governing organization for wrestling events held within their borders: - Arizona - California - Colorado - Connecticut - Florida - Georgia - Hawaii - Illinois - Kentucky - Maine - Massachusetts - Michigan - Minnesota - New Hampshire - New Mexico - New York - Oklahoma - Rhode Island - Texas - Vermont
