The Golden Boy's art is absolutely fantastic!
Not sure what I'll do with a face Spivey but its a cool option to have.

Next we get Waylon Mercy for the full career retrospective. 😄 I'd rather have a "Waylon Mercy" Danny Spivey than a "Golden Boy", but that's just me.
I'd rather have a color Kevin Sullivan & Bobby Shane before more "alternates", but that's just me.

They were very clear that the other two Prime names were alternates of already-colored cards.

Seeing tonight's announcement reminds me that Golden Boy Danny Spivey was on the first wrestling show I ever attended. It was a WWF house show in February 1986 where he teamed with Corporal Kirchner against the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff. I remember for some odd reason there were some adults that night in the crowd who had Spivey somehow actually confused with Hulk Hogan. I was in elementary school at the time, but (unlike some of the adults that night) I knew Spivey was not Hogan. Whenever I get back to LOW, I will probably team this version with Mike Rotundo and Barry Windham. Odd reason = beer |

I'm guessing that there will be a Florida themed set/mini set at some point this year for Sullivan, Shane etc.

I remember reading in one of the Apter mags about someone asking Rotundo for an autograph. The pic that was to be signed had Windham on it as well as Rotundo. The problem was that Rotundo was teaming with Spivey at the time. Rotundo gave the person a disappointed look, if I remember correctly. Not sure if Rotundo actually signed the pic though (so long ago, LOL)! And I can see someone mistaking Spivey for Windham, or Windham for Greg Valentine (my niece did that in the late 80's), but Spivey for Hogan? Where's the moustache, brother?  Todd C WTIC |

Well, I know who I'm hoping will be the final Prime release... Didn't think there would be any chance because I figured we were getting a duo like the Assassins or the Mongols... Since that isn't the case, I will keep the faith... And that's a good thing! |

I assume they are holding on them, Gang, and Link, maybe a Bob Roop army of darkness alternative as well, until a possible Florida set. I mean it would be cool. You could also get Steve Keirn singles too. |
