I really want to attend this event during Mania Weekend on the Sunday afternoon before Wrestlemania 39 Night 2. But it depends on a couple of factors that I need to figure out first.

GCW said today that the first name for this year's class gets announced on Wednesday (February 8th) at 6PM PST (9PM PST.)

Unless all current ROH guys are excluded, I have to think the Briscoes are included.

Christopher Daniels (to be inducted by Frankie Kazarian) is the first name announced for the Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame Class of 2023. A great selection with Los Angeles as this year's setting.  |

Unless all current ROH guys are excluded, I have to think the Briscoes are included. I wonder, only because Mania Weekend is in Philadelphia next year, if they might wait a year to induct the Briscoes? |

With this ceremony taking place in Los Angeles this year and Christopher Daniels being the first announcement, I wonder if other regional wrestlers like Human Tornado, Super Dragon, Samoa Joe (active wrestlers apparently qualify as Homicide and LuFisto were inducted last year,) TJ Perkins, Rocky Romero, Scott Lost, could also be inducted this year? I would also suggest Adam Pearce, but that is probably unlikely just a few hours before Wrestlemania 39 Night 2 starts later that day.
I would not be surprised to see Joey Kaos (aka Voodoo Kaos in the game) get inducted for his work running Santino Bros which is running a show at this year's Collective.

I kind of feel like active wrestlers shouldn't be included like this but Christopher Daniels is certainly deserving.

It should be like the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame. You cannot be inducted till a certain number of years after your debut. Especially with wrestlers going longer then in the past including some still wrestling into their 70's now and then. Nice to induct them before they pass. I think Rock-n-Roll HOF is 20 years after debut of their first album. Twenty to twenty-five years after a debut seems like a good time to be eligible. I mean, by then you know if they have had the kind of career that is HOF worthy.
