Welcome to a new era in professional wrestling history! This is Big Time Wrestling, coming to you from San Francisco, CA, on KTVU channel 2!
Professional wresting is not dead, despite the attempts of the Mad Titan Thanos! We made it back! Get ready for the best in-ring action ever!
The Conways def. The Dream Team by D.Q.
The first ever match in Pacific Coast Championship Wrestling was a tremendous tag team contest! From the start the Conways hammered Brutus Beefcake for a long time. Immediately he got hit with a couple finishers. Johnny Valiant helped his man on the outside to stay alive and he finally made a tag to Greg Valentine. The Hammer carried the team as this turned into a great tag team match. These men kept the fight up until the Dream Team was DQed after Johnny Valiant helped his men on the outside of the ring.
Dave Marquez announcements
Match maker Dave Marquez entered the ring for some exciting announcements. Next month on Big Time Wrestling there will be a battle royale with every member of the roster! In addition, it will be a Valentine's Day Battle Royale and the winner will automatically be involved in however the first Pacific Coast champion is determined.
Pepper Gomez interview
Lance Russell then brought out Pepper Gomez for some comments. As Gomez thanked the fans for coming out to the first show of Big Time Wrestling and how happy he was to be here and doing what he loves best, the Illustrious Jonnie Stewart interrupted the talk. "Gomez, I'm already tired of listening to you talk. Why don't we find out if you can wrestle as good as you talk?" These two will square off later tonight!
Bob Orton Sr. def. Billy Wicks
The fans were treated to an old-school rumble here. Billy Wicks had all the offense for quite awhile. Bob Orton Sr. got things going and these two just went back and forth. Wicks kicked out after a piledriver and later he caught Orton with a bulldog for the three. The two men received a standing ovation and they each acknowledged the other for their skills.
Piper's Pit: Val Venis
Roddy Piper entered the ring for Piper's Pit! "You know, I wanted to decide on my first guest after I saw how things were going here tonight and heard what some people had to say. Since we're going to have a Valentine's Day battle royale, I think I should talk to one Val Venis.
Val Venis comes out to the ring. He got boos from the men but cheers from the ladies. "Val. I bet you like Valentine's Day. You probably do really well. What are your thoughts on this battle royale and whoever wins will be in the mix to win the Pac-C championship?"
"Roddy Piper. Val Venis does like Valentine's Day. He likes the ladies a lot! But I like championships as well. Easiest way to make sure I get a chance is to win that battle royale next month. I'm sure I can find some ladies to celebrate with after the show."
Val Venis def. Steve Regal
Steve Regal tried to use his speed but Val Venis shut him down. Venis came off the top rope and then went up again to land the Money Shot for the three count.
Jonnie Stewart def. Pepper Gomez
Johnny Valiant was back out at ringside with Jonnie Stewart so that must mean he's already got himself a stable of wrestlers. Pepper Gomez tore into Stewart and almost got his hand raised by count out. Stewart held on and got his shots in. Johnny V. tripped up Gomez at the ropes and a big elbow drop by Stewart results in a three count!
Buddy Rose & Doug Somers def. The Sheepherders by D.Q.
The Sheepherders destroyed Doug Somers right from the bell! He lived somehow with the help of Buddy Rose interferring. The Sheepherders kept it going but slowly Rose and Somers got themselves back into this match. Both teams kept breaking up pins and causing brawls. Rose came off the top rope and the Sheepherders were disqualified amongst all the chaos after breaking up the pin.
Yukon Eric def. Paul Ellering
Two power houses matched up in this one. They went toe to toe. Paul Ellering hit his neckbreaker and Yukon Eric landed the Kodiak Krunch. Eric got the pin after a big collision in the corner.
Red Bastien def. Roddy Piper
A big upset as Red Bastien topped the man that was the last NWA World TV champion before the Snap happened. Piper couldn't keep Bastien off of him. It was all Bastien in and out of the ring, using his finisher and the top rope. Bastien hit a cross body off the top for the three count and huge win!
Ray Stevens interview
Lance Russell brought out Ray Stevens who told the crowd how great it was to be back in the ring and he's ready to go for them. Stevens introduced his new friend Pat Patterson. Before much could be said Nick Bockwinkel and Bobby Heenan joined the group in the ring. Heenan wanted to know what Stevens thought he was doing? "You and I were friends. You and Nick were friends. We were together. Have you forgotten all that? You want to come out here with a new friend? No way!" The bell rang after Heenan and Bockwinkel jumped Patterson and Stevens.
Pat Patterson & Ray Stevens def. Nick Bockwinkel & Bobby Heenan
As great of a main event for the first show that anyone could ever want! These teams went at it and the dislike was very evident. Patterson and Stevens had the upperhand for most of the match. Both teams hit finishers and made saves. Bockwinkel tried to save Heenan but he got double teamed and tossed to the floor. Patterson came off with Bombs Away again for the three on Heenan!
