Honor Rising
Hammerstein Ballroom - January 2023 (Second half)
World's Greatest Tag Team vs Brian Kendrick and Paul London As the two teams go to shake hands for the Code of Honor, Aussie Open come out and say the new Ring of Honor should be about fresh blood and demand to be part of the match. This brings out the Kings of Wrestling, who say ROH has always been about proving yourself inside the ring, as they have done time and time again.
Aussie Open def. London and Kendrick, WGTT, and Kings of Wrestling - London and Kendrick are eliminated when WGTT hit the Leap of Faith on Kendrick as he was balanced on the ring apron, driving him into the floor. - WGTT are eliminated by a loaded Rolling Elbow Smash by Chris Hero on Charlie Haas. - Aussie Open land the Fidget Spinner on Claudio Castagnoli to pick up the win

Semi-final: Matt Taven def. Bryan Danielson by disqualification Taven has full control and is taking Danielson apart when Bryan, in desperation, hits Taven with a steel chair outside the ring
Truth Martini comes to the ring to unveil the newest members of the House of Truth. Martini says he has scoured the scene for talents worthy of his time, who buy in to the House of Truth mentality. He introduces the new leader of the House of Truth, the man who will become new ROH Television Champion.... Sam Adonis! Adonis, flanked by Reno Scum, tells the crowd that, like the great Donald Trump did with America, he plans to make ROH great again. He is interrupted by The Elite, who tell him that, just like Trump, he is only good for one thing, talking absolute garbage.
House of Truth (Sam Adonis, Luster the Legend, Adam Thornstowe) w/ Truth Martini def. The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) by pinfall The Scum Stomp by Luster and Thornstowe picks up the win for House of Truth
World Title Tournament Final Rush def. Matt Taven by pinfall Both men have near falls to become the champion, but Rush finally puts away Taven with a snap German suplex, dumping him right on the back of his head and pinning him

Looks like a really fun concept for Martini's House of Truth... I can't wait to see how this faction fares against the high caliber talent on the existing roster... Picking up a win over the Elite is definitely an exceptional way to kick things off.
Having Rush and Taven going over against McGuinness and Danielson in the semifinals was a bold choice by the bookers... Rush receives the big push to be crowned the new champion... Some interesting decisions being made in the back and I'm interested to watch things evolve... Fun times!

I thought Matt Taven was going to go all the way from the qualifier to the title at one stage, but Rush turned it around. I was also really excited when the dice favoured Aussie Open, because I had absolutely not expected them to come out of that one winners!

I thought Matt Taven was going to go all the way from the qualifier to the title at one stage, but Rush turned it around. I was also really excited when the dice favoured Aussie Open, because I had absolutely not expected them to come out of that one winners! They were certainly in there against some tough opposition, but Aussie Open keep it pretty tight with awesome teamwork... They were scheduled to appear in a Four Sided Elimination match for the tag belts in my Impact Pro fed and I liked their chances, but Mark Davis got injured during the most recent YouTube channel taping (a little spoiler for ya because I haven't actually posted those results yet)... We'll see what happens when they return.

ROH TV #1 Feb - Week 1 - Year 1
The show opens with Rush in the ring, suited and with the ROH World Title around his waist. However, before he can speak, Tyler Black comes out. Black says he was cheated at the tournament, and didn't get a fair shot at winning the title himself. He says he hasn't returned to ROH to sit in the shadow of someone like Rush and will prove his worth in tonight's main event - a non-title match with the champion!
Proving Ground match: Jack Cartwheel def. Michael Bennett w/Maria by pinfall Bennett perhaps underestimates his opponent, hitting a piledriver on the apron early doors and expecting that to be it. But Cartwheel answers the count, and goes on to win the match with the Jack Arrow.
Sam Adonis w/Truth Martini def. Cheeseburger by pinfall A straightforward win for the new leader of the House of Truth, as he beats Cheeseburger with a Northern Lights Bomb
Backstage, The Briscoes say there is a lot of handing out of titles going on in ROH right now, but that in their books possession is nine tenths of the law. As they have the tag team titles in their possession, Mark says, they remain the champions, and no suit in an office is telling them different. Jay closes by telling other tag teams: "If ya want some, come get some..."
Non-title match: Tyler Black def. Rush (c) by pinfall Determined to prove his worth, Black picks up the win in the main event with God's Last Gift.
