Another Great Episode!!! and Great Topics, even the Peacock avatar discussion was fun...hell, I didn't even know you could change it...I will confess that I really have to want to change an avatar on an app to do it, so I am not shocked that I didn't know you could change it... Thanks for adding the hype for the Gathering of Promoters happening next Saturday, 29 April 2023. (I am sure it's because of the tie-in to the earlier sets and the nostalgia to play those characters again in more modern times.) Least Favorite Saga: I dunno...but honestly, the Black Death Sets have taken me a LONG TIME to get through...so I guess I would have to say those... Just finished listening to this installment this morning, gentlemen... One point that I really wanted to touch upon was the discussion surrounding the gradual transformation of the GWF from an intergalactic wrestling company into some kind of battleground where the fate of the universe is decided... Personally, I never really embraced this approach... I've always treated my promotion like a work where the dice are the bookers... Factions like Black Death or the Serpents of Evil are no different than Bullet Club or the nWo... The bottom line is that my fantasy wrestling promotions remain focused on professional wrestling.
With that principle in mind, my favorite COTG era is Black Death (2127-2129) and I'm fairly certain that my favorite character of all-time is common knowledge -- Coven Black... Honorable mention would be Sudden Death (2094-2095) and Raven is my second favorite COTG character... My least favorite era would probably be The End (2109-2111) because this is when I feel the aspects of story telling really started to shift... From competition to something where the stakes were much higher... Too high to realistically be settled within the confines of a wrestling ring, imo... That being said, I am thankful for every set that was released because there were always interesting characters involved that could be implemented in a variety of ways... It's almost impossible for me to choose a least favorite character because I think almost every character had something to offer... However, I will say that if the artwork did not capture my imagination then I would find it difficult to find a place for that particular version of the wrestler.
Sorry about the length of this post... It's just because this is a conversation that I've always been somewhat passionate about - WORK vs. SHOOT... Not how the results are determined... We all know the dice are in charge... But, how those results are interpreted and then utilized going forward.

My avatar WAS the default blue peacock. Like Pete, had no idea you could change it. Now, it's ET. Not a lot of options to choose from.
