Yea I think Cheerwine is a southern thing. Do not recall trying it but have seen it at stores before.

I went to the Fan Fest Day 2 today but there was almost no wrestlers out at the tables and I left after less than an hour. Sometimes at these multiday events there is just more activity on the first day than the second day in my experience (especially when the first day had very low attendance.) For lunch, I went to this place called Bojangles which I had heard about. It was gross, KFC is much better. My review for Bojangles is it is unhealthy, it tastes bad, and it does not fill you up as I am still hungry. Stay the F away from Bojangles. Bojangles was also the first time I ever drank Cheerwine and after a couple of sips I poured it down the drain and drank a Pepsi instead. Cheerwine must be an acquired taste. I am going back for Night 2 of the Crockett Cup in about an hour and a half. Zeke, see if you can find a Krispy Kreme, and treat yourself to a southern delicacy...a glazed doughnut from Krispy Kreme! Cheerwine is an acquired taste indeed. |

I've run into that before myself where you go to a restaurant because everyone recommends it only to be severely disappointed. I have to admit I've never heard of cheerwine. Your reaction to it sounds similar to mine when I tried the pumpkin juice in Wizarding World Of Harry Potter. I nearly did one of those spit takes you often see in the movies because it was so gross. Hope you had a good time at the matches tonight. |

Cheerwine is an acquired taste indeed. Stu, Krispy Kreme doughnuts are great! We have them in Las Vegas so I have eaten them occasionally. I think the South has great food overall. I had some tremendous meals (some of the best meals I had for all of 2022) when I was in New Orleans last November. And I really like Waffle House too (I wish we had them in Nevada, I might try to go there for breakfast tomorrow before I leave for the airport.) I also really enjoyed the North Carolina BBQ I ate yesterday that Todd recommended (great food!) But I just did not like Bojangles or Cheerwine. |

I am back at the hotel after Night 2 of the Crockett Cup.
As I mentioned earlier, there was not much happening at the Fan Fest today, lots of empty tables and the wrestlers who I was told would be there such as Austin Idol were not around so I did not get any more cards autographed today.
Attendance for the show was bad too. After the Preshow matches, Bobby Fulton went to the General Admission area and asked all the fans to fill in the ringside area.
Although my pick of Trevor Murdoch and Mike Knox won the tournament tonight, I was definitely surprised by some of the results such as BFT in the Finals. Also, Colby Corino made his surprise NWA return tonight as his deal with WWE reportedly fell through.
Overall I enjoyed my time in North Carolina and at the Crockett Cup the past two nights, I fly home tomorrow.

Shame Colby's deal fell through and attendance was a bit of a disappointment. Guess nostalgia only goes so far but I would have picked Murdoch and Knox too so glad they won.

I'm stunned that more fans didn't want to come watch Tyrus do his one move while otherwise laying around in the ring sucking wind.

Sadly, I woke up sick Saturday and wasn't feeling well enough to go by the time evening rolled around.  Hopefully they'll be back some day soon. |

I've got a fair idea who the big Indy name is. Who do you think yesterday's biggest Indy signing was? I'm hoping either NWA Champion Tyrus or former champion Trevor Murdoch. I'm also hoping you got Ronnie Garvin, and if you did I'll name my next kid/cat after you. |

Murdoch would be great. Honest to God, I'd probably have to skip the set if Tyrus was the "headliner." Now that Parker Boudreaux's been disappeared, Tyrus is the worst pushed wrestler alive today.
