Greetings, fellow Promoters! I'm not sure where to post this, so I hope this is OK.
Today is World Kiss Day, also known as International Kissing Day, but those of us in Kiss Nation think it should be called World KISS Day! That's why I decided to wait until today to create this thread.
I'll soon be celebrating my 50th birthday on July 11, but 2023 is also the 50th Anniversary of my favorite band--KISS! I don't know if anyone has ever created wrestlers based on KISS, but my version is based on both the rock stars and Marvel Comics & television special super-heroes. Now, the super-hero rock band becomes professional wrestlers!
I've never created & posted bootleg cards based on real wrestlers, celebrities, or fictional characters like super-heroes. I decided to try my luck at it to commemorate both my 50th birthday and the 50th Anniversary of KISS. What better day to do it than on World KISS Day!
I hope those of you in the KISS Army will enjoy seeing my take on KISS as wrestlers. I also hope that those of you who are not KISS fans will like them as well. Unfortunately, I don't have a way to post pictures or art with the stats. I also don't have a way to make the professional looking side-by side stats that we have on the cards. If anyone knows how to do this and wants to take the time to do it, you have my permission to take my stats and re-post them on this thread so they look like professional cards. If not, that's cool too!
Since I use a library computer with time limits, I won't have time to post everything in one day. After I finish typing this, I'll post the bio that describes how KISS got their powers and what they are, lists what they've done as a band and as super-heroes, and explains how they became wrestlers in Legends Of Wrestling, Independent wrestling, and Champions Of The Galaxy!
In the coming days(or weeks...you know how life can get in the way sometimes, and it seems to be doing that right now), I'll post the stats and wrestling move descriptions for Demon(Gene Simmons), Starchild(Paul Stanley), Space Ace(Ace Frehley), and Catman(Peter Criss) one at a time. Thanks for your patience, and I'll post everyone as soon as possible!

Once upon a time, four young musicians from New York City were given a mysterious box by a gypsy wizard. Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley & Peter Criss opened the Box Of Khyscz(pronounced Kiss) and discovered four mystic talismans. Each man was drawn to a particular talisman, and upon touching them, they were transformed into the super-powered beings known as KISS!
Gene Simmons was born Chaim Witz in Haifa, Israel. He changed his name to Gene Klein after moving to Queens, NYC. He chose the fire-breathing dragon talisman, and he was transformed into Demon. He has super-strength & agility, flight, the ability to shoot fire from his mouth, and dragon boots that are really fanged creatures that can bite and attack enemies. He is prone to rage and savagery because he has the potential to become a true demon of great power!
Paul Stanley was born Stanley Bert Eisen in Manhattan, NYC. He picked the black star talisman, and he was transformed into Starchild. He has the Black Star over his right eye that shoots a ray to reveal the true nature of the target and control the target's emotions. He later learned to control the Black Star to blast beams that destroy objects or stun-beams to defeat people without harming them permanently. He is the leader and spokesman of the group, more rational than Demon, but nonetheless reacting emotionally as the situation necessitates!
Ace Frehley was born Paul Daniel Frehley in The Bronx, NYC. He selected the lightning bolt talisman, and he was transformed into Space Ace. He has heightened psychic senses, the ability to block mind probes, and limited foresight into possible futures. He can form powerful shields or project waves of vibratory force, create a cone of force to temporarily imprison an enemy, and can render himself or others immune to certain forms of energy. He can vibrate quickly at the atomic level with the right frequency to render himself or others intangible. He can make a hitchhiking-like hand gesture to teleport himself and others through great distances, including other planets and dimensions, although he is not always conscious of where they will end up. He is the most mellow and zen of the group, and he calls everyone "Curly"!
Peter Criss was born George Peter John Criscuola in Brooklyn, NYC. He took the cat talisman, and he was transformed into Catman. He has super-strength, agility, speed, reflexes & smell. He also has night-vision, razor-sharp claws on his fingers that can cut through steel, and great fighting skills. He can communicate and control both domestic and wild jungle cats. He is relatively level-headed, though he does share feline passions!
Together, they formed the rock and roll band known as KISS! Gene Simmons is the tongue-wagging, blood-spitting & fire-breathing singer and axe-shaped bass player. Paul Stanley is the prancing & strutting singer and rhythm guitarist. Ace Frehley is the lead guitarist and occasional singer with a guitar that shots sparks & smoke. Peter Criss is the drummer and occasional singer with a levitating drum riser. Their theatricality, showmanship, and unique appearance took glam rock and shock rock to a whole new level. The combination of music, costumes, stunts, smoke, fireworks, and synchronized rocking guitar moves allowed them to outperform more established hard rock & heavy metal bands. They had natural chemistry on stage, keeping in constant motion and interacting with one another, unlike most groups who barely moved at all. They thrilled fans worldwide with their gold & platinum records, sold-out concert tours, and numerous television appearances. Fans even gave themselves a name--KISS Army!
In addition, KISS also went on many super-heroic adventures. They battled super-villains, aliens & monsters. They stopped an evil sorcerer from the hidden Himalayan land of Khyscz who wanted to conquer Earth. They fought a mad scientist and his robot duplicates of KISS in an amusement park. They defeated a killer known as The King Of Pop on Halloween night by turning his army of children against him. They even saved Christmas when they rescued Santa Claus from a pterodactyl!
Now, KISS has decided to travel throughout space & time(and even other dimensions) to become professional wrestlers! Using Space Ace's powers, they can appear in any era to fight the best wrestlers of any federation. They can travel to the past to step into the ring with Legends Of Wrestling. They can enter the present day squared circle to square off with the best Independent Wrestling superstars in the world. They can even travel to the future to face Champions Of The Galaxy from any timeline or dimension!
Starchild has decided that KISS will not use their super-powers as professional wrestlers because it would give them an unfair advantage in the ring. Any use of their powers--except for Catman's natural cat-like reflexes--will result in a disqualification, but Demon doesn't care. He'll occasionally breathe fire that could get him disqualified!
KISS has dominated the music industry as rock stars. They saved the world numerous times as super-heroes. Now, they're ready for a brand new adventure as they enter the "Psycho Circus" known as professional wrestling. It doesn't matter if it's Legends Of Wrestling past, Independent Wrestling present, or Champions Of The Galaxy Future, KISS is here for one reason: "Rock And Roll All Nite, And Party Every Day"!

If he is disqualified, roll one die for length of opponent's injury. If he is not disqualified, opponent rolls PIN. This can only happen once per match.
DESTROYER--He puts opponent in a piledriver position, then he makes "devil horns" hand signs and sticks out his tongue before hitting a Canadian Destroyer sunset flip piledriver, sometimes while jumping off the top rope to a cornered opponent as TOP ROPE DESTROYER.
God Of Thunder--When he is on defense, he might spit blood in the opponent's eyes as a defensive counter-attack. Roll his disqualification. If he is not disqualified, opponent rolls on Level 3 Defense.
Great Expectations--Running spear followed by a sit-out choke slam.
Calling Dr. Love--Grab a hangman's neckbreaker hold, then spin around into a discus forearm smash to the back of the head.
Plaster Caster--Top Rope double axe handle.
Parasite Punch--Either a Superman punch or a heart punch.
Sweet Pain--Running crucifix powerbomb.
Deuce Drop & DDT--Samoan Drop followed by a cradle DDT.
Larger Than Life Lock--swinging full nelson.
Demon Kiss--He gets in the opponent's face and sticks out his tongue while making "devil horns" hand signs, and then hits a quick head butt.

The (ch D) should be linked to a level 3 offensive move, but other than that, solid job! Thanks. I wasn't sure how to do the move between the (c) and the named move, but I saw it like this on Chris Candido's color card, so that's what I went with. |
