So I was thinking about the guys who've been mentioned in this thread; I recall that several of those we've mentioned, there've been stories/rumors/theories about why we haven't gotten them in color yet... Like The Sheik, isn't the story there that his and Sabu's agreements either were limited to one release or expired? That Tony Atlas had a clause about drawing his own card? That Blassie and the Tolos brothers were through a third party or something? That there never actually was an agreement for Rikidozan? Have any of these or similar stories ever been confirmed? I think some of the names you mentioned if they get color updates would fall under the “Just be cool” designation and would would not be teased. I would love a Just Be Cool International 4-pack with A Just Be Cool Pro Prime where we knew none of the names. Only that we know we are getting could be Liger, Tiger Mask, Baba, Rikidozan, Mascaras, Blassie and The Tolos Bros. |

I'm good on bears, I'd rather get an actual wrestler that we need colorized. I know bears had their place in professional wrestling but Carlzilla did a great job coloring the Victor artwork and that's good enough for me. Save the spot for a human, please. |

I still think a fun random prime set would be Sky Low Low, Little Beaver and one of the wrestling bears
(I also think another fun prime set would be Tony Anthony and Len Denton as the Dirty White Boys and Tony Anthony as Grappler #2)

I still think a fun random prime set would be Sky Low Low, Little Beaver and one of the wrestling bears (I also think another fun prime set would be Tony Anthony and Len Denton as the Dirty White Boys and Tony Anthony as Grappler #2) I like both of those ideas. Of course, my favorite PP set idea is Afa Jr, Samu, and Alofa sometime between now and Roman Reigns losing the title. |

To be honest...with how hot the Samoan name is right now, and with the release of Solo a few months back, this would probably be a good time to release them in a prime set. |

I would buy a mini set (no pun intended) with Sky Low Low, Little Beaver, and a few new little people names. Would love it if we could get Lord Littlebrook, Little Tokyo, and the Haiti Kid to complete the WM3 match...

Interesting. I had googled territories to find an obscure one and those two popped up on wiki under the NWA territories. It was worth my time to search as I discovered there was a movie/mockumentary about Big Time Wrestling done in 1985 called I Like To Hurt People focusing on the original Sheik. I found a used DVD triple feature on Ebay with that movie, Piper's Hell Comes to Frogtown and Grunt. I am looking forward to watching all three. I have seen part of Frogtown but that was years ago. ............. You were unaware of this all time classic? Wow, you are in for it. Had that on original VHS WAY back in the day. The soundtrack is begging for a proper rerelease. On topic, I again am in favor of the hodge podge set. Don't focus on one territory or area, blast out a variety from all over the place. Maybe a similar timeframe like 70s-early 80s. Barring that of course we always have my standard answer that it's time for Indianapolis and Detroit to take the spotlight. Damn that movie rocks. Part mockumentary, part cheesy low budget movie and part Sportscenter highlights. A lot of great talent seen if even just briefly. I am just mad they teased Giant Baba but don't show him. It was cool seeing parts of Detroit. To think I was living an hour or less from where they filmed this at the time. Of note is the ending. While The Sheik never did wrestle on top of Cobo Arena, far as I know, it probably inspired WCW to have the monster truck match on top of Cobo for Halloween Havoc 1995. |
