Bootlegger - Bootleg Creation Tool

So I wanted to share something with y'all. Most of my projects aren't publicly available at this point, but this one certainly can be.



I've created a bootleg creator. This will nicely format bootlegs so anyone can create them. It will attempt to properly size the images, text, etc. to make it look as nice as possible. You can adjust the colors of the level banners, text, etc.



It exports to .PNG, it's possible to export it to PDF in the future, but it requires quite a bit more work, and honestly, single card per page PDF files are wasteful, so you're better off just creating your own PDF files with the .PNG exports.

If you're using the Linux version and it's giving you trouble, make sure the x86_64 file is set to be executable. To check this right click the x86_64 file and select properties. Then make sure the "allow execution of this file" box is checked.



There is a link to donate to me that can be accessed inside the application if you find this useful, but this is free to use, and donations are not required.

I uploaded an update. This allows the user to select the headshot size when using the "Take Headshot" feature.

The links are the same, just re-download and install/overwrite existing files.

I will give this a try soon! I do have my own templates for bootlegging (obviously), but I will give this a whirl and see how easy/fun it is!

Another quick update, Bootlegger now exports to PDF. I'm not a huge fan of single card PDF files...but apparently you guys are, because it got asked quite a bit if it was a thing I could add...and yes, it was a thing I could add, so I did. You're welcome.
The update is on the same links found in the original post...just re-download and re-install/overwrite the existing install.

So to test the program out, I did up both versions of Steve Martin (Troy's and mine), made a PDF of them! This turned out AWESOME! Here:

If you use my Bootlegger program, I just released a small update to the program and to the Windows launcher.

Carl. Just wanted to post and say how impressive this tool is. It's so nice to be able to update some of the bootlegs I use and give them a fresh coat of paint. Keep up the fine work!
