I started listening to this epsiode while driving home tonight from the Orleans casino where I saw All Out 2023 at the casino's movie theater.
As a kid I saw alot of the Price is Right at a young age as my babysitter watched the show every day on TV and then I also saw the show alot during my first year (1994-1995) as an undergraduate at Washington State as my roommate liked the show alot. Other than that, I have only seen the show once since 1995 and that was back in early 2020 when one of my former AP students was on the show (at that time she was attending UCLA) and she advanced all the way to the Showcase Showdown before losing in the Finals.
I think as a kid my favorite Price is Right game was Hole in One as my parents took me to put put golf alot and I was confident I could win at that game if I ever competed on the show.
As I recently mentioned on another thread here, Terry Funk was on the very first wrestling show I ever attended where he lost to Junkyard Dog at a WWF house show at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington in February 1986. I think some of my favorite matches involving Terry Funk were his 1989 NWA matches against Ric Flair, but perhaps my favorite moment seeing Terry Funk live was his great out of the ring brawl with Roddy Piper in the Legends Rumble at PWG Kurt Russllereunion 2 show (Piper won by last eliminating Funk) at Wrestle Reunion 5 where I enjoyed getting to briefly meet Terry earlier that day.
Also, I definitley recommend Terry Funk's book to those who have not read it yet.
Also, speaking of Terry Funk, last Monday at the CAC when I was working the Flisinger Games merch table with Michael Bratta, Ranger Ross (who earlier had autograohed my copy of his LOW card) came over to talk to us and he gave us a great Terry Funk impression while talking to us about a match he had with Terry in the early 1990s. It was a great story.
Also, it is great to hear Todd and Sam on this podcast and it makes me wish Roll Up would return on a regular basis.
I look forward to listening to the remainder of this episode!
