I think a singles-only fed would suit my indies sets more. Same. I love the sports based style it helps with my EVOLVE fed. I also love keeping detailed statistics, and all time records for just about anything I can. This pairs up seamlessly with Jim's Stroke System for booking. I love it. Jim's Stroke System for booking. What's this?

If you look at the section on the board "Its up to you Promoter" and then COTG/LOW Resources. The system is in there in great detail. I am going to start doing a promotion with it and see how it works out.

I think I found the Stroke System after some digging. It is on page 22 of The Filsinger games online specialty match library thread under cotg/low resources. I cannot seem to get the link in the thread to work. But here is the text from the post:

The Stroke System
At the beginning of your card year, reset your wrestlers to their initial Stroke Value. To determine this, look at the back of their card at their Agility and Power ratings. Use the following scale to get their points
+5 - 0 points +4 - 1 point +3 - 2 points +2 - 3 points +1 - 4 points 0 - 5 points -1 - 6 points -2 - 7 points -3 - 8 points -4 - 9 points -5 - 10 points -6 - 11 points
Add the points together, and you have the Initial Stroke Value. Here are some examples:
Thantos 2087 Agility Rating: -2, which equals 7 points of Stroke Power Rating: -3, which equals 8 points of Stroke Thus, his ISV is 15 points
For tag teams, use the best of the two ratings.
Beasts of Burden (Incredible Badger & Iron Mane) BADGER: Power is -4, Agility is +1 IRON MANE: Power is -2, Agility is -1 The best scores: Power -4, Agility -1 9 points for power, 6 points for agility Their ISV is 15 points.
Now that they have their Stroke Rating, see what divisions they will be competing in:
TAG TEAM REQUIREMENTS: Two people on a team
WOMEN'S DIVISION: Ovaries (or special permission, in Rouser's case )
INTERGALACTIC: Anyone can try for these belts - no limits
CRUISERWEIGHT: A weight of 240 pounds or less
HEAVY METAL: You must have at least one of the four requirements: A Cage rating of 1 A Disqualification of 6 or higher Two or more "out of the ring" options A finisher or move that has a chance of a DQ
HEAVYWEIGHT: An initial Stroke of 13 or higher, OR a -5 or better in either Power or Agility.
All wrestlers and tag teams face each other. There is no division amongst faces and heels, friends and foes, different divisions, etc. The system works as a straight mathematical flow chart. Here's how you do it.
After establishing your initial card, winners are placed in one pile face up, losers in another pile face up. If wrestlers go to a draw, they would go in a middle pile. Here is an example from a recent CPC card:
The Exiles over Theatre of Pain Credo over Royal Court The Foundation over Fists of Fury Assassin Underground over Hunters of Prey The Warbirds over Faithful Crusade Pekhota over Pinnacle of Perfection Lower World over Colorful Characters
So, the next week, here is the tag team match ups:
The Exiles vs. Credo The Foundation vs. Assassin Underground The Warbirds vs. The Pekhota Lower World vs. Theatre of Pain Royal Court vs. Fists of Fury Hunter's of Prey vs. Faithful Crusade Pinnacle of Perfection vs. Colorful Characters
Now, your Stroke can go up or down. It goes down when your wrestler is suspended. The way that works is simple - instead of being suspended for 4 weeks, just take away four points of Stroke. That way they stay on the card, but with less Stroke, they will have a harder time getting a shot. More on this later
(NOTE: Here's an optional rule - if it is a new card for that year, they are immune from suspensions for that year. It helps rookies and re-vamped talent get a needed push in the fed)
To earn points, do the following:
0 points, for wrestling to a draw or losing
1 point for a standard win in a match
2 points for winning a specialty match, or winning the Cruiserweight or Heavy Metal Titles
3 points for winning the Intergalactic, Tag Team or Women's Title
5 points for winning the Heavyweight Title
6 points for winning a Torture Chamber Match
OK - now that you have stroke, a system to adjust the points, the divisions and how to move the wrestlers up and down the card, now you need to put it to use. Here is how titles get defended:
The Cruiserweight and Heavy Metal Titles are only defended when the champion is facing an opponent who is in that division. These are third level titles that do not need to be defended every week.
The Intergalactic, Tag Team and Women's Titles are defended every card. The Title Holder will always be on the top of the card, and the next person in the stack of winners gets the Title Shot. In other words, if we used the earlier example, The Exiles would be the Tag Champions, and Credo would get the title shot.
For the Heavyweight Title, this is where Stroke comes into play. To get a Heavyweight Title Shot, you not only have to have that initial Stroke of 13 or better, but you also have to have the match that week with the highest combined stroke value. ____________________________________________________________
Here's some other rules to consider:
At the beginning of your card year, strip the champions of their titles, reset everyone's Stroke Rating, and have a tournament to determine the new champions. This gives your fed a fresh start, rekindles rivalries, introduces rookies, and keeps older wrestlers from becoming complacent.
All titles are defended in at least a Titan Death Match. If they are feuding enemies or it's a match for the Heavy Metal Title, substitute another specialty match fpr that title defense. But all title matches are either Titan Death or Specialty Match rules as part of the no excuses clause I make my champions adhere to.
All singles champions get to use the number in parenthesis for their pin. Cage and Tag Ratings remain the same. The logic is this. As a singles champion, you are better than the competition, but tag team and cage based matches are still highly unpredictable places for title upsets.
If a wrestler is injured for a number of cards, instead of keeping them out for a number of weeks, put that number after their name in paranthesis. Before the card that week, roll two dice for each injured wrestler. If the number rolled is equal to or less than their injury rating, then they are not cleared for the match, and forfeit to their opponent. Take one point off of their injury rating per card.
(OPTIONAL RULE - You MUST wrestle injured in a title defense or the singles #1 contenders match for the Heavyweight Title) ____________________________________________________________
Stroke System Quick Play Option
I am now going to confess a secret I have never revealed before - I cheat sometimes when I do not have time for matches!
It is a simplified version of a match. I use this only in case of a time restraint, and it has allowed me to do my Relaunch on Fed Forum. It's a matter of subtracting offense from defense, and the wrestler with the better number wins.
Here is an example:
Raven (2112) vs. Jack of Diamonds(2112). Get out your cards and look at the backs of them. Follow along, and you will learn how to cheat a match.
First, calculate your wrestlers defense - the best thing about this stat is that will permanently be in effect for that card.
First off, add the PIN ratings subtracted from 12 to their comebacks on defense. This will be your first number.
Then add up all of the other defensive moves and the disqualification rating. This is your second number.
For Raven, the first number would be 13 (He has 4 points of comeback on Level 1, 3 points on Level 2, and a PIN of 6 (12 - 6 = 6)). For JOD, it's 14 (4 on Level 1, 2 on Level 2, and a PIN of 4 (12 - 8 = 4)). This is the First Number
For Raven, I add up all of the numbers after words dazed, hurt and down on Defense and the DQ rating. I will also do the same for JOD. For Raven, the total is 26 (3 from Level 1, 7 from Level 2, 11 from Level 3, and a DQ of 5). For JOD, the number is 26 (4 from Level 1, 6 from Level 2, 12 from Level 3, and a DQ of 4).This is the second number.
Subtract the first number from the second number:
RAVEN: 26 - 13 = 13 JOD: 26 - 14 = 12
This number is their defensive rating.
Now, when calculating offense, there is one rule you need to be completely aware of: If the Offensive move is followed by (ag) or (pw), check to see if they can use it against their opponent. In this example, Raven cannot use Agility based moves against JOD, and JOD cannot use power based moves against Raven. If you cannot use the move, you cannot add it's number to the offense score.
To calculate the offense score, just go down the Offense side top to bottom. You will first add all of the numbers listed on Offense (making sure that the AG and PW moves that cannot go through are not counted). Then add any finisher(s), and number is 3 plus their Finisher Rating. And finally, you add up their Ropes, Turnbuckle, Ring & Deathjump Ratings by using the following scale:
A = 3 points B = 2 points C = 1 point
For Raven, first add up his offensive moves (7 points from Level 1 - remember, he cannot use "snap mare -2 (ag)"), 13 points from Level 2, and 12 points from Level 3) and the total is 32.
Then, add finisher (BLADERUNNER +4), which is 7. 32 + 7 + 39.
Then add the final stats (2 + 3 + 3+ 3) = 11.
39 + 11 = 50.
For JOD, total score is 46. (9 from Level 1, 12 from Level 2, 6 from Level 3, BLACK DIAMOND is 4, JACKED UP is 5, and stats total 10)
And now, the easy math:
RAVEN - 50 (offense) - 13 (defense) = 37 points JOD - 46 (offense) - 12 (defense) = 34 points
Thus, Raven is the winner by 3 points.
For tag teams, just add their numbers together to obtain your total. The only difference is to not use (ag) or (pw) moves if they cannot use them on EITHER opponent.
I know this isn't a fun way to play, and it does not allow variables such as specialty matches, but it is a shortcut I have developed as a time saving device.
Why am I sharing this? Well, this makes a great timesaver for the undercard matches, and for people who want to "race" through their cards.

Yup that's the one. It works really well for a sports based style fed. I have some really good spreadsheets to track everything too I've made over the years. If anyone is interested hmu.
