I’m pretty confident that PP cycle 3 will be FTR, and since the guys are writing a full story for the whole roster to go along w the 3 new cards, it’s prob taking longer than if they were just doing 3 cards w bios. That’s my guess. No idea at all what the actual cycle 3 COTG main set will be though. I think I saw somewhere where Tom tweeted that he was going to put out some new cards soon. Maybe that’s it. That first sentence if full of logic. I do not think that is allowed on here.

If the cards are to ship soon though one would think we would know what Pro Prime is for COTG - FTR etc. it makes me wonder if it might be FutureShock or COTG mainline. If we are getting a full set or mini set main release would it not have gone up for presale? Cards are to begin shipping in late October. I get the feeling since COTG’s release in December is huge (20 cards) they may forego a release in Cycle 3 due to it being such a large release. Also note, Centra got what 14 cards in the Cycle 1 release. That is a lot of cards for the year. Would be nice if there was more communication about it …

Obviously there's no release for COTG in Cycle 3 except for the PP cards (there will be some sort of PP release)
I don't think the fact that December is a large release has a thing to do with it. Simply put, there's just not enough COTG stuff to be released four times a year unless they want to constantly do mini releases. Heck even with all the unreleased legends cards, we're just getting one card again for Legends cycle 3. It's why I believe they should simply go down to 3 cycles a year for non PP.

I think there is plenty of content to release for COTG. I mean, a reimaged release of 2094 would make perfect sense - as it, and every set through 2097 are now OOP. You could get one cycle each year out of that for the next four years. Then jump to 2099-2100, 2105-2106, and 2129. Done - plenty of content. We also have zero clue what happened with Legends. It could have been any number of issues that spun it to a one card release (signed release issues being at the forefront).

They've said without saying it they're not interested in doing reimagined. If they were, it would have been done now.

They've said without saying it they're not interested in doing reimagined. If they were, it would have been done now. Troy, my point is that they could easily fill the gaps, that is all. Further, they’ve also said the opposite as well. It’s a pause for now. Not sure how that equates to l”not interested” by “saying without saying.” Your argument was - COTG only needs three releases per year due to the fact that there isn’t enough content to fill it. My point proved that there is plenty of content to fill it, and that this year you are getting 20 COTG cards in the Cycle 4 release, coupled with ten from the Cycle 2 and 14 from Cycle one. That is 44 cards or 11 per cycle.

Alright, folks, let's set the record straight on Fed HQ. This company, they started off with a bang, okay? The Black and White era was legendary. Characters like Wolf, Thantos, Star Warrior, Chaos, Pegasus, The Gladiators—you couldn't make this stuff up. Well, Tom did, and he even took it on the road with the Dark Menace tour, trying to make it big in Hollywood. But guess what? It wasn't meant to be. Despite the sheer brilliance of the content, it's a kind of brilliance that speaks to a very small, niche audience. No shame in that, but it's the hard truth Tom's gotta live with! Tom got older, the wrestling scene's been a rollercoaster, and it's tough to keep cranking out hits. Storylines get murky, we see a rinse, wash, and repeat formula. Characters recycled, plots rehashed, some ideas completely tanking. And let's be fair, it happens to the best of us. Even Vince McMahon didn't churn out winners non-stop for decades.
As time went on, things got complicated. Tom aged, the wrestling scene fluctuated, and keeping the storylines logically consistent became a real chore. We're talking recycled characters, rehashed plots, and ideas that flat-out flop. Even legends like Vince McMahon don't hit home runs every time.
The fanbase, they've got something like Stockholm Syndrome. They stay loyal, can't seem to let go. For a while, real-life wrestling stars from the big leagues and the Indys kept things afloat, but even that's running on fumes now.
So where does that leave Fed HQ today? They've got other jobs that pay the bills, and they're cutting down releases from five to four a year. They claim it's about quality, but let's not kid ourselves—the quality's been plummeting. Customer service is practically nonexistent, and the audience is aging faster than a fine wine.
Bottom line: it's a ticking time bomb. Unless there's some kind of miraculous turnaround, Fed HQ is heading straight for an iceberg. So, they're saying Cycle 3 is coming in October and more details will be out "soon." Don't hold your breath.
Alright, you want solutions? Here's a list, but be warned, none of these are going to make things better. In fact, it's like a playbook for how to fail, but here we go:
1. Double Down on Nostalgia: Sure, let's ignore the young folks and keep pumping out the same old stuff. That'll keep the aging fan base happy until, well, they're not around anymore.
2. Cut Costs Even More: Let's slash quality further and automate customer service. Who needs human interaction anyway? Watch as your already frustrated customers bolt.
3. Merge with a Failing Brand: Why not join forces with another sinking card and dice company ship? Then you can go down together. Misery loves company!
4. Invest in Outdated Tech: Spend a fortune updating the forever disappointing COTG Online to technology that's already five years old. You'll be obsolete before you even launch.
5. Ignore Feedback: Those negative reviews on social media and the message boards? Must be trolls. Ignore them and carry on with your failing strategies.
6. Overpromise and Underdeliver: Keep hyping up those new releases, and then fail to meet any of the expectations. It's a surefire way to lose credibility.
7. Raise Prices: Your loyal promoters are already grumbling? Hit them where it hurts the most—their wallets!
8. Neglect Marketing: Why bother attracting new customers when you can just assume they'll find you? Let your brand fade into irrelevance.
9. Launch a PR Nightmare: Make some wildly inappropriate comments on social media. That'll get you attention, just not the kind you want.
10. Abandon Ship: Lastly, just sell the company to the highest bidder, wash your hands, and let someone else deal with the fallout.
So there you have it, folks. A perfect list if you want to make sure your company hits rock bottom. But don't say I didn't warn you!
