Nitro Wrestling 2.22
Jim Cornette and Jim Ross welcome the fans to the show and plug Evan Lewis vs. Chris Candido, as well as Mil Mascaras defending the gold against Davey Boy Smith. Jim Ross announces that Ivan Koloff, D’Lo Brown, Marty Jannetty, and Yusuf Ishmail have left the territory. Cornette introduces the first match.
1. Joe Malenko vs. Larry Sharpe
Malenko is in fine form, quickly taking Sharpe to the mat. Malenko hits the Northern Lights Suplex but Sharpe is too close to the ropes. Malenko hits a butterfly suplex for a two count. Malenko hits a second Northern Lights suplex for the win.
Winner - Joe Malenko by pinfall
Ross says it’s good to see Malenko back but knows another match with John Pesek is coming. Cornette introduces the next match.
2. Evan Lewis vs. Chris Candido
Candido goes to town on Lewis and hits a diving head butt for a two count. Lewis makes a comeback but Candido shuts him down with a small package for a two count. Candido hits the Blonde Bomb for a two count. Candido goes for the Blonde Bomb a second time but Lewis counters it and locks him in the Stranglehold. Candido taps out.
Winner - Evan Lewis by submission
Candido has to be helped to the back. Ross says Lewis is out of control. Cornette introduces the next match.
3. Jack Brisco vs. One Man Gang
Brisco is unintimidated and nails Gang with a dropkick for a two count. Gang makes a comeback and goes for the 747 Splash but Brisco rolls out of the way. Brisco rolls Gang up with the Rolling reverse cradle for a two count. Gang and Brisco battle back and forth. Brisco locks on the figure four and Gang taps out.
Winner - Jack Brisco by submission
After the match, Brisco gets on the mic and says Lewis has gotten away with things long enough. He challenges Lewis to a loser leaves town match. Ross and Cornette are shocked but manage to introduce the main event.
4. Mil Mascaras vs. Davey Boy Smith - Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title match
Davey takes control at the bell and spikes Mascaras with a piledriver. Davey hits the running power slam but Mil gets his foot on the ropes before the three count. Davey hits a second running power slam but can’t put Mil away. Davey goes to the top rope and Mil throws him to the mat. Davey and MIl battle back and forth. Mascaras catches Davey with a sunset flip for a two count to turn things around. Mascaras goes to the top and Davey throws him to the mat. Davey hits a vertical suplex for a two count. Davey mauls Mascaras outside the ring. Mascaras makes a comeback and locks on the bow and arrow but Davey escapes the hold. Davey makes a comeback and tries to superplex Mil but Mil dumps him back into the ring. Mil hits a flying bodypress for a two count. Davey makes a comeback and nails Mil with a running clothesline for a two count. Davey goes to the top rope and MIl throws him to the mat. Mascaras hits the flying body press for the win.
Winner - Mil Mascaras by pinfall, his second title defense
Mil and Davey shake hands after the match. Ross and Cornette sign off, telling fans to tune in next week for Brutus Beefcake vs. Greg Valentine in the main event!

Jim Ross and Jim Cornette welcome the fans to the show and plug the main event, Brutus Beefcake vs. Greg Valentine. Ross reminds the fans that the Ryder Cup tournament starts in three weeks and last year’s winner, Farmer Burns, has been invited to compete. Cornette introduces the first match.
1. Stanislaus Zbyszko vs. Larry Sharpe
Zbsyzko gets the advantage at the bell and hits a double arm suplex for a two count. Zbyszko hits the half nelson and slam for the win.
Winner - Stanislaus Zbyszko by pinfall
Ross and Cornette put over Zbyszko. Cornette introduces the next match.
2. Hugh Morris vs. Davey Boy Smith
Morris and Davey battle back and forth. Davey hits a running power slam but Morris is too close to the ropes. Davey works on him and hits another running power slam for the win.
Winner - Davey Boy Smith by pinfall
Cornette says the Bulldog is still in the hunt. Ross introduces the next match.
3. Tommy Gilbert vs. Austin Idol
Idol takes control at the bell and hits the jumping knee smash for a two count. Idol locks on the Las Vegas Leglock and Gilbert taps out.
Winner - Austin Idol by submission
Cornette says he’s picking Austin Idol to win the Ryder Cup this year. Ross introduces the main event.
4. Brutus Beefcake vs. Greg Valentine
Beefcake unloads on Valentine at the bell. Valentine weathers the storm and rolls up Beefcake with a small package for a two count. Valentine locks on the figure four but Beefcake fights his way to the ropes. Valentine and Beefcake battle outside the ring and things get out of control. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner - No Contest
The two men continue brawling. Ross and Cornette sign off, telling the fans to tune in next week for Jack Brisco vs. Evan Lewis, loser leaves town!

Rodz gets in some offense early on. Mikey nails him with a tornado DDT. Mikey hits the Whipper Snapper for the win.

Firpo attacks Malenko like a wild animal and hits a knee lift for a two count. Firpo mauls Malenko on the concrete. Malenko is a bloody mess. Malenko makes a comeback and hits a northern lights suplex for a two count. Malenko hits a second northern lights suplex for the win.

Ross says Malenko is on a hot streak. Cornette introduces the next match.
3. Curt Hennig vs. Magnum TA
Hennig and Magnum battle back and forth. Hennig hits a rolling neck snap for a two count. Hennig hits the HennigPlex for the win.

Cornette says that was a tough loss for Magnum. Ross introduces the main event.
4. Jack Brisco vs. Evan Lewis - Loser Leaves Town
Brisco gets the upper hand early on and wears Lewis down with an airplane spin. Brisco and Lewis battle back and forth. Brisco hits the rolling reverse cradle for a two count. Brisco batters Lewis all over the ring area. Brisco hits a rolling reverse cradle for a two count. Lewis makes a comeback but can’t hold the momentum. Brisco locks on the figure four and Lewis taps out.
Winner - Jack Brisco by submission. Evan Lewis is banned from Nitro Wrestling for six months!
Ross and Cornette sign off, telling the fans to tune in next week for a No DQ, hair vs. hair match between Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine and Mil Mascaras vs. Jack Brisco for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title.

Jim Cornette and Jim Ross welcome the fans to a special two hour episode and plug the main events, Brutus Beefcake vs. Greg Valentine in a No DQ, hair vs. hair match, and Mil Mascaras vs. Jack Brisco for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title. Ross says the Ryder Cup beings next week and UFC Legend Ken Shamrock has been invited to compete. Cornette introduces the first match.
1. Konnan vs. Nord the Barbarian
Konnan and Nord battle back and forth. Konnan gets some momentum going and hits a power bomb for a two count. Nord makes a comeback but Konnan sends him over the top rope to the floor. Konnan hits a German suplex on the concrete and Nord barely beats the count back into the ring. Konnan hits the Niagara Driver for the win.
Winner - Konnan by pinfall
Ross says Konnan means business. Cornette introduces the next match.
2. John Pesek vs. Mikey Whipwreck
Pesek throws Mikey to the mat and locks on the Tiger Man Toehold. Mikey taps out.

Ross says another match with Joe Malenko is imminent now that Pesek’s suspension is up. Cornette introduces the next match.
3. Brutus Beefcake vs. Greg Valentine - No DQ, hair vs. hair
Valentine and Beefcake battle back and forth. Valentine hits a shoulder breaker for a two count. Valentine mauls Beefcake on the outside. Valentine locks on the figure four and Beefcake taps out.
Winner - Greg Valentine by submission
Valentine shaves Beefcake bald at the end of the match. The Barber looks distraught as he heads to the back. Cornette introduces the next match.
4. Stanislaus Zbyszko vs. One Man Gang
Gang bullies Zbsyzko at the bell. Zbsyzko crushes him in the corner and locks on the hammerlock, wearing him down. Gang and Zbsyzko battle back and forth. Zbsyzko rolls up Gang after a missed turnbuckle charge for a two count. Zbsyzko locks on the hammerlock a second time but Gang fights his way to the ropes. Gang and Zbsyzko battle back and forth. Zbyszko locks on a head scissors and toehold. Gang taps out.

Ross says Zbsyzko is his pick to win the Ryder cup. Cornette introduces the next match.
5. Curt Hennig vs. Pampero Firpo
Firpo tears into Hennig at the bell. Firpo throws Hennig out of the ring and brains him with a chair in full view of the referee. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner - Curt Hennig by DQ
Ross introduces the main event.
6. Mil Mascaras vs. Jack Brisco - Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title match
Mascaras and Brisco grapple back and forth. Mascaras gets some momentum going and hits the crossbody attack for a two count. Mascaras hits a slingshot plancha for a two count. Mascaras hits a crossbody from the top for a two count. Mascaras hits a flying body press for the win.
Winner - Mil Mascaras by pinfall, his third title defense
Ross and Cornette sign off, telling the fans to tune in next week for first round Ryder Cup matches
