Nitro Wrestling 8.28 Jim Ross and Shane Douglas welcome the fans to the show and plug the main event, Randy Savage vs. Johnny Valentine with the winner taking on Paul Orndorff for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title in two weeks. Douglas introduces the first match.
1. Bobby Shane vs. Mr X Mr X gets in some offense but Shane shuts him down with some sneaky punches. Shane locks on the Japanese Sleeper and X taps out.
Winner - Bobby Shane by submission
Douglas says losing to Mr X would have been a one way ticket out of the territory. JR introduces the next match.
2. Eddie Graham vs. Rip Rogers Graham and Rogers grapple back and forth. Rogers eats the hardest punches in wrestling and Graham locks on the figure four but Rogers fights his way to the ropes. Graham stomps Rogers and locks on the figure four a second time but Rogers is able to roll to the ropes. Graham drags Rogers into the center of the ring and locks on the figure four a third time. Rogers submits.
Winner - Eddie Graham by submission
Douglas says Graham could be the next champion. JR introduces the next match.
3. Ted DiBiase vs. Andrew Anderson DiBiase and Anderson battle back and forth. DiBiase hits a fist drop for a two count. DiBiase loads the glove and nails Anderson with it for the three count.

After the match, Maha Singh comes out from under the ring and attacks DiBiase. Anderson and Singh double team DiBiase until Hacksaw JIm Duggan arrives.
4. Johnny Valentine vs. Randy Savage Valentine mauls Savage at the bell and hits a forearm hammer for a two count. Valentine hits an atomic skull crusher for a two count. Savage fires back and hits a knee drop for a two count. Savage hits the axe handle from the top to the floor. Savage goes to the top and hits the flying body press for a two count. Savage and Valentine brawl outside the ring. Valentine comes out on top and hits an atomic skullcrusher for a two count. Savage and Valentine battle back and forth. Savage goes for the axe handle but Valentine punches him in the mid section. Valentine hits the atomic skullcrusher for the win.

4. DiBiase & Duggan vs. Anderson & Singh Hacksaw and Anderson start the match. Anderson nails Hacksaw with a clothesline for a two count. Anderson hits a jab to the throat and covers Duggan for a two count. Anderson tags in Maha Singh. Singh hits a shoulder breaker but Duggan kicks out. Duggan and Singh brawl outside the ring. Duggan makes a comeback and tags in DiBiase. Singh rolls out of the ring. DiBiase slams Singh into the guardrail and rolls him back into the ring. DiBiase hits a full power slam for a two count. Nitro Wrestling 8.30 JR and Shane Douglas welcome the fans to the show and hype the main event, Paul Orndorff vs. Johnny Valentine for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title. JR introduces the first match.
1. The Crusher vs. George South South gets in some offense and is competitive for several minutes. The Crusher turns it around and nails him with the Crusher Bolo for the win.

Douglas says he can’t remember the last time The Crusher had a shot at the big gold belt. JR introduces the next match.
2. Hugh Morris vs. Larry Sharpe Morris bulldozes Sharpe and hits the top rope elbow drop for a two count. Morris hits No Joke for the win.

JR says Morris has to tools to win the gold if he takes things seriously. Douglas introduces the next match.
3. Hiro Matsuda vs. Bob Cook Matsuda lights Cook up and locks on the abdominal stretch, wearing him down. Matsuda wears Cook down with the Boston Crab. Matsuda nails Cook with karate chops and covers him for the three count.

Duggan hits a piledriver for a two count and hits a big top rope clothesline. Duggan tags in DiBiase. Singh makes a comeback and tags in Vampiro. Orndorff muscles Valentine up for the stalling vertical suplex for a two count. Valentine and Orndorff battle back and forth. Orndorff cracks Valentine with a chair outside the ring and the referee calls for the bell.

After the match, Mr Saito and King Kong Bundy hit the ring and attack Valentine at Bobby Heenan’s direction until the Crusher hits the ring wielding a steel chair and runs off the heels. The Crusher helps Valentine up as the show goes off the air.

1. Bad News Allen vs. Mr X Bad News nails Mr X with a throat strike for a two count in the opening seconds. Bad News beats up X outside the ring and hits a jumping leg drop for a two count. Bad News cracks Mr X with the Ghetto Blaster for the win.

After the match, Bad News says none of the Florida boys are man enough to take him on. A second Mr X comes from the back and enters the ring. Mr X takes off his mask to reveal Hiro Matsuda! Matsuda hits a leg drive on Bad News and the two men grapple on the ground until security arrives.
JR says officials are scrambling to book Bad News Allen vs. Hiro Matsuda. Douglas introduces the next match.
2. Blackjack Mulligan vs. JJ Dillon Mulligan and Dillon battle back and forth. Mulligan locks on the Blackjack Claw but Dillon is able to reach the ropes. Mulligan locks on the claw a second time and Dillon taps out.

JR says Mulligan has been struggling so it’s good to see him back on top. Douglas introduces the next match.
3. Duggan vs. Hugh Morris Duggan and Morris brawl all over the ring area. Morris hits a power bomb for a two count. Morris goes to the top but Duggan throws him to the mat. Duggan hits the flying spear for the win.

After the match, Vampiro and Morris double team Duggan until Ted DiBiase, taped ribs and all, makes the save.
4. Crusher & Valentine vs. Bundy & Saito with Bobby Heenan Valentine and Bundy start the match. Bundy and Valentine grapple back and forth. Valentine chops Bundy down with a big chop to the chest and covers him for a two count. Valentine tags in The Crusher. The Crusher brawls with Bundy outside the ring and slams him into a ringpost. The Crusher clamps on the stomach claw and Valentine fights off Saito. Heenan grabs The Crusher’s leg and Bundy attacks him while he is distracted. Bundy gets in a few shots and tags in Saito. The Crusher and Saito battle back and forth. Saito wears The Crusher down with a sleeper. Saito works over the Crusher and hits a vertical suplex for a two count. The Crusher and Saito battle outside the ring. Heenan gets caught handing Saito a foreign object and the referee calls for the bell.

1. Sam Houston vs. Missing Link with Bobby Heenan Link attacks Houston like a battering ram at the bell and nails him with a head butt. Link hits an atomic drop for a two count. Houston tries making a comeback but Link shuts him down and hits a diving head butt for a two count. Link head butts Houston and hits another Diving Head Butt but wastes time chasing the referee around the ring. Link busts Houston open with a head butt and hits another atomic drop for the win.

Douglas announces that Big Bully Busick, Les Thatcher, Thunderbolt Patterson, JJ Dillon, and Sam Houston have left the territory. JR introduces the first match.
1. Chris Candido vs. Mike Graham Candido and Graham grapple back and forth. Candido hits a snap suplex for a two count. Graham recovers and hit a running cross body block for a two count. Link hits two more diving head butts but can’t put Smothers away. Smothers and Link battle back and forth. Link nails Smothers with numerous head butts and hits the diving head butt for the win.

Duggan whips Vampiro into the corner. Vampiro puts on the brakes but Duggan plows him with the flying spear, breaking the table. Duggan tags in DiBiase as the referee forces Vampiro out of the ring. DiBiase and Morris battle back and forth. Morris hits a spinebuster and sets up the table. Morris tries power bombing DiBiase through the table but DiBIase fights him off and goes on the attack. Morris goes on the attack and sets up two tables outside the ring. Morris puts DiBiase on the tables and goes to the top! Morris hits the moonsault, putting DiBIase through two tables! DiBIase is eliminated! Duggan goes on the attack and tries whipping Morris into the tables but Morris blocks the move. Morris tries slamming Duggan into the table. Duggan blocks it and slams Morris into the table. Duggan puts Morris on the table and goes for a knee drop but Morris moves and Duggan goes through the table. Duggan is eliminated.

Douglas says Ted DiBiase and Jim Duggan are expected to be out of action until the Sandow Cup in five weeks. JR introduces the first match.
