So largely on a whim a decided to make some cards based on Twisted Metal using bootlegger. I decided to start with the characters from Twisted Metal 2012 because It's my personal favourite game of the series (I know not a popular opinion, hopefully I'll get to the other games as well), and since there was only four characters, I'd be more likely to actually finish them, anyway, hope y'all like them, all potentially useful if you wanna add some violent weirdos to your fed, though hopefully I'll eventually make enough of these that they can be used in a fed of their own.
"This time, I'm going to finish what I started. This time, I'm going to make her BLEED"
Needles "Sweet Tooth" Kane is the deranged serial killer alter ego of father, and husband Marcus Kane, once Needles took over Marcus' mind he knew exactly who his first targets would be, his own family, however they were his first kills, he got sloppy, and his daughter after taking out his eye, managed to escape, after all these years he's never been able to find her, so he joins the Twisted Metal tournament, planning to make Calypso send him to her as his prize so he can finally sate his hunger for her screams.
"If I die in this contest, I'm fine with that. Hell I'll welcome it!"
Daniel Grimm's father and hero was the famous stuntman "Mr. Grimm" after watching his father die attempting to break a break a record he had set the year prior, Daniel went down a dark path, he's done a lot of bad things to a lot of people, only some of whom had it coming, After hearing about the Twisted Metal tournament he enters, not caring if he dies, but if he does win he wishes for Calypso to send him back in time to stop his father from doing that jump and save two lives in the process.

Krista Sparks was an up and coming model, with dreams of becoming the world's most famous supermodel. She would sabotage or even murder anyone she saw as competition. All was going as planned until a car wreck heavily damaged her face. After six months and eleven surgeries her face was completely healed, with the exception of one small scar. Her obsessed mind viewed herself as hideous and eventually she found Dr. Ospylac a shady individual with a reputation for turning even the most repulsive women into superstars. It was him that put the mask on her face, he told her to come back in six days at which time he would remove the mask and her face would be perfect, however when she returned he had disappeared without a trace, needing the mask removed to achieve her dreams she enters the Twisted Metal Tournament so she can have her mask removed and become the star she knows she deserves to be. 
"Oh, it ends tonight Calypso, and it ends with me. For my god has come, and he has given me the honour of waking the suffering from their slumber of fear!"
The Preacher belives he is on a Mission from god to stop Calypso and the Twisted Metal tournament, and he will stop at nothing to accomplish his goals. (admittedly his story was largely cut from the game, and what was there seemed like it would be expanded on in the sequel that never came, so there's not much to say about the 2012 version of Preacher.)
Would love any feedback on the cards, they are intentionally on the strong side as if I make enough cards for a fed I'd want all four of them to be major players, and Tooth particularly felt like he should be a bit of a monster.
Planning to try and do Twisted Metal: Black next, but that's a lot of characters, so it might take some time.

Todd C WTIC Nice, if you're wanting to stick to the T.V. and movies angle, there was a recent Twisted Metal streaming series on peacock that was good, and is actually what got my mind back on the series. and Tooth's depiction in that is close enough to the 2012 version that this card would still work. (though definitely with more comedy mixed in) |

I decided to get started on what I am calling "The Black Expansion" (I realize how dumb a name that is as it implies the first 4 cards are somehow a starter set, but whatever I think it sounds cool) and figured I'd start with the easy ones, the four I've already made the 2012 version of, while Preacher and Sweet Tooth have different stories, they are largely similar in black and 2012 and Dollface despite being very different as a character, I felt the cards moves and stats all still suited her fine, so those three are basically just TM Black art variants of the 2012 cards with recoloured backs. As for Grimm's card, while the moves are largely the same, there's a few minor changes to reflect some references on the card that really only applied to the 2012 incarnation of Grimm and don't make sense for the much different version of him in Black. So without further ado.
"Shut up and BLEED, you motherfu--"
Needles "Sweet Tooth" Kane was a widely feared serial killer known for vast numbers of gruesome murders. After being captured he was sentenced to death by electric chair, and a preacher curses him to "burn forever with the flames of hell" at which point his head bursted into flames and he broke free of his bonds, sometime later he was approached by a man named Calypso who promises him that if he can win his tournament he will be provided with a way to end his curse.
"They say the mind bends and twists in order to deal with the horrors of life... I think my mind bent so much it snapped in two."
Mr. Grimm and his best friend Benny were drafted into the war at 18 years of age. While Grimm was trying to treat a badly wounded Benny the two were captured and trapped in a deep hole with no escape, despite constant pleading for help for Benny's wound, that help would never come. Eventually a man came and threw down a knife, telling Grimm that if he wanted to eat he'd have to make due with what he could find in the hole, two days later Benny succumbed to his injuries and with no other options Grimm did what he had to do to survive... "Benny would understand". When he was eventually rescued, Grimm killed four of them as they tried to remove the helmet he fashioned out of Benny's skull. This resulted in him being shipped to Blackfield Asylum where he would remain for 30 years until he was approached by Calypso, who promised him the ability to get revenge on the man who killed his sanity.
"I like my new face now, much better than the old one; it doesn’t cry, it doesn’t look scared and it will always be pretty, even when I’m old and grey inside."
Dollface worked for a mask maker named Mr. Kreel. One day she accidentally spilled coffee on some of his documents. Enraged, Mr. Kreel nails a mask onto her face and uses a strange key to make sure the mask never comes off before storming out of the room, leaving her alone. She is then sent to Blackfield Asylum where she remains alone for the next seven years before she is visited by Calypso who promises her that if she can win his contest, he can provide her with the key to remove her mask, Dollface accepts the offer, but is still not sure if she deserves to be free.
"It was Judgment Day in that church, and I was the Angel of Death!"
Jebidiah was an evangelist who travelled from town to town in hopes of sharing his religious visions with anyone who will listen. One day when performing his duties the Preacher was presented an Infant who had been possessed by a demon for him to exorcise, unfortunately the demon was too powerful for him and possessed him unleashing its power to kill everyone in the church that day, by the time the police arrived the demon had left him, and believing him to be insane the Preacher was sent to Blackfield Asylum where he still hears the demon calling to him. One day he had a visitor, a man named Calypso, who promised him that if he won his contest, he would reveal the truth, eager to clear his name Preacher accepts.
hope you guys enjoy these as well, personally I love Dollface's story in black and that will probably be the version of her I'll use as I love the themes of accepting your trauma as part of yourself and the idea of her becoming an anti hero of sorts.
As for the rest of the cast from Black, I'll post them one at a time whenever I happen to get them done and post a big PDF with all of them once I've finished.

Thanks in advance. admittedly I just went for references to the charatcers that I thought sounded like good move names for signatures and finishers, so most of them are open to whatever you want them to be, maybe that's a cop out, but I honestly didn't think too much about most of them, with that said.
Sweet Tooth's SHUT UP AND BLEED is meant to be either a swing of his machete/saw thing, or a stab of his knife depending on weather you're using the 2012 or black version, and in my head I imagine the LAUGHING GHOST as a muscle buster a a nod to Samoa Joe playing him in the show.
2012 Grimm's CHAINSAW is a literal chainsaw, Black Grimm's Scythe can either be an attack with his scythe or a move named after it depending on what suits the tone of your fed.
everything else I haven't really decided, and your welcome to imagine how you wish.
Also if anyone has any specific requests from the Twisted Metal: Black cast I can bump them up in the queue, with the exception of Minion who I will be intentionally leaving for last.

I've been having people with the same issues with the archives or bootlegs I've posted recently as well. Starting to think it could be a hardware problem for users. |
