Winning a VIU Cup is the most prestigious accomplishment in the VIU as the winner has to get past all VIU champions from their division from the past game year.

In the Ring: Ring announcer Bobby Cruse reminds everybody that the Briscoes have received a First Round bye and in the Second Round they will take on the winner of this next match.
Match #1: "Filthy" Tom Lawlor and Erick Stevens defeated Nick Gage and Justice Pain in a VIU Tag Cup First Round match
- Lawlor took out Pain via REAR NAKED CHOKE.
- As a result, Lawlor and Stevens will take on the Briscoes in the Second Round.
Match #2: Von Erichs defeated Los Piratas in a VIU Tag Cup First Round match
- Despite some good offense by the Piratas on Marshall Von Erich, the Von Erichs won this match when Marshall Von Erich pinned Pirata Morgan following IRON CLAW/BACK SUPLEX.
Match #3: Hooliganz defeated Da Hit Squad in a VIU Tag Cup First Round match
- A competitive match, the Hooliganz won when Paul London pinned Dan Maff via SHOOTING STAR PRESS.

Von Erichs are going to go deep in this tournament I meant to type that Justice Pain teamed with Nick Gage in that opening match against both Lawlor and Stevens, thanks for catching that! I am looking forward to the Von Erichs vs Hooliganz Second Round matchup and then a potential Von Erichs vs Briscoes Quarter-Finals match. |

Match #8: Young Bucks defeated Midnight Heat (managed by Guy Tweakacetti) in a VIU Tag Cup First Round match
- The Bucks won this match when Nick Jackson pinned "Precious" Eddie Pearl following the INDYTAKER.
Match #9: The OGK (managed by Maria) defeated Los Mascizos in a VIU Tag Cup First Round match
- It appeared at one point that Los Mascizos had this match won Miedo Extremo had Michael Bennett down for longer than a 3-count following the DOOMSDAY DEVICE but a distraction from Maria prevented the referee from making the 3-count in time. The OGK rallied and won when Matt Taven pinned Ciclope via CLIMAX.
- As a result, it will be the Young Bucks vs OGK in the Second Round.
Match #10: Aussie Open defeated Warhausen in a VIU Tag Cup First Round match
- Aussie Open advanced when Kyle Fletcher pinned WARHORSE following the FIDGET SPINNER.
Match #11: Homicide and Hernandez (both accompanied by Shelly Martinez) defeated CCK in a VIU Tag Cup First Round match
- Homicide pinned Chris Brookes via an Ace Crusher.
