Next month, the night before AEW has Collision at the Dollar Loans Center in Henderson, Nigel McGuinness is doing his magic show at the Nerd Bar. The show goes from 9PM-11PM and there is meet and greet afterward. I bought my $20 ticket to this event today, but I will pass on the meet and greet as I have met Nigel in the past and I already my copy of his ROH color card autographed. Sinestro24, since you will be in Las Vegas at this time, would you like to go to this show too? I just got back from this event tonight at the Nerd Bar,
I won't post any spoliers (we were specifically asked not to and video taping was prohibted but photos were OK and I will probably post a photo on the Filsinger Games Facebook page) as this show does play elsewhere but there is a very cool/incredible twist at the end.
Without posting spoilers, we were shown a video of a magic trick Nigel played with Jay Briscoe and then he reenacted the same magic trick with two volunteers (one of whom was Kenny King as there were many wrestlers-both local and AEW- in attendance tonight at the Nerd Bar despite a low overall attendance) who had to leave the room while the video was played so they did not know what to do when they returned to the room. And the trick worked. I was very impressed with Nigel's ability as a magician tonight.
There were only 20 some people in attendance, but among those 20 some people were wrestlers including Kenny King (lives here in Las Vegas,) Brian Cage, Jimmy Jacobs, and Prince Nana and then toward the end of the show in walked more wrestlers such as Johnny TV, Taya Valkyrie, Cheerleader Melissa (she now lives here in Las Vegas,) Willie Mack, etc to the point where there were actually probably more wrestlers than fans in attendance at the end of the show.
I love the Nerd Bar. I was also just at the Nerd Bar two nights ago with Tournament Master and Sinestro and I could probably walk around the place blindfolded and not bump into a damn thing. Trust me, any bar that can host a match between Vikingo and Jacob Fatu (which happened at the Nerd Bar last May during Double or Nothing weekend) and can also host deathmatch wrestling (like the Marks R Us show I attended during Nevada Day weekend) is a bar for me.
After the show, I talked to Willie Mack briefly at the bar. I asked Willie if he was wrestling at the Collison/ROH tapings tomorrow and he told me he will be there but he is not sure if he will be used. My guess is AEW will use him as they recently (last few weeks) booked Willie for ROH tapings in both Virginia and Louisiana so why would they not book him in his own hometown of Las Vegas?
I went to this show tonight with my friend Brian who is a local Indie referee and I look forward to going to see Collision tomorrow with my friends Alex and Ofi at the Dollar Loans Center in Henderson.

Damn, so much greatness in wrestling talent there. I love everyone of them. Jimmy is one I still have to meet one day. I came close a few years back when he was with TNA. I was in line for a meet and greet with him when he got called away and had to leave. Never really met Cage but did have a little exchange with him after a show when I showed him my "Thanos fears Cage" sign. It was around the time of the Avengers movie of course and Cage having his own power gauntlet in Lucha Underground.
