I think they're fun. Surprised at a couple power levels but looking forward to using them in my new all female fed.

just started playing around with the 80's Mania phone app and I can see its the same art style which doesn't quite fit with current card sets, but not a huge issue for me. Although as another promoter pointed out the back stories are bit lacking and throwing off the continuity of GWF history which is a slight issue for me. Overall as a fan of all Filsinger Games products I will be picking this set up and and deciding for myself where to use them. There are so many options where you can use them. Put them in your GWF feds, 80's Mania fed, or in a bootleg fed since as always "It's Up To You Promoter." Damn, it never occurred to me to use them in 80's Mania. That is a smashing good idea. I have SO many cards I still need to use in all my different feds so not getting the cards quite yet. But I love the idea of 80's as I know at least one will fit in perfectly and if doing 80's wrestling you only need two females at a time for their feud over the Women's title.

Well, I got my set. I didn't know rightly what I expected. But I'll figure something out with them. I could not believe my eyes when I saw her finisher was Banana Split. That was really funny. She's a keeper for sure
So my shipping was $4. My envelope said .94 cents was paid. I get a little off the top for envelope and rubber bands....I never really looked at this before. But it bugged me. If it cost a buck to ship charge a buck. I didn't know all the ins and outs of volume shipping or whatever. It's a lot to do over three bucks but yeah, that didn't hit me right. No I don't want the three bucks, just charge what is owed. Îf ya charged my $18 for the set I still would have bought like the crackhead I am.

Ironically enough my fed is at 2089 and would be ready for these ladies. 😂
Has anyone ran them against other women, and how have they done?

Sasp...Sasp...the ice cream girl has been a punching bag mostly. Galaxia actually beat Shann-Ra. (I play outside of canon). Then she lost to Daisy (A very cool bootleg). I am waiting till the new year in game time to start rolling the others out.

I'm interested in the set, and thought about having Amazonia wrestling even though she doesn't in my fed. However, I am leaning towards the new CotG set or starting Centra first though. So if anyone did buy them. Regret it, and want to unload at a decent discount let me know!

I remember when I first saw that price and it was a punch to the gut for me too. I was like, wow, all the money I have spent on cards and I get beat for $3 on small orders. That said, for bigger orders where their stamps say $6, we still only paid the $4, so I guess it balances out for them as an expense. I do understand the need to charge for shipping because the guys are overworked, short staffed, and have a lot of orders but I would have appreciated more transparency at checkout so we don't feel ripped off and lied to about the $4 flat rate. Like just tell us it's a tip and I would be OK with it. From what I understand cards ship one day a week to avoid multiple trips to the post office. Just so you know, for my small business when I ship 30+ pound packages it is a pain to box, carry, and ship them so I round up the "shipping & handling" cost to the nearest dollar, which still doesn't cover the time I lose and gas used. That el cheapo low rate Filsinger uses has no tracking number and insurance (I think), so if it gets lost in the mail Filsinger has to basically send it again and take a 100% loss on merch and shipping. So that is another factor they may figure in about marking up the shipping cost. So my shipping was $4. My envelope said .94 cents was paid. The history buff in me isn’t crazy about this. Thrash has been referred to as the first female Gladiator many times in official GWF history, most recently in her bio found in the Merapis set. I’m not convinced that going back and changing 40 years of official history for a set like this is a good idea. I will play devil's advocate and say this other Gladiator is not from Aethra. Much like Screw. It would make sense in the fact that wrestling was a new frontier for Aethrans. Why risk embarrassment by sending true Aethran Gladiators who are built for war but not wrestling. Send non Aethran Gladiators to test the waters and get recon on the enemy in their form of warfare, wrestling as it be.
