Hoping this satisfies the women’s wrestling crowd for awhile. Between this set, getting one or more women’s wrestlers in each GWF set almost every year, and the surge in women’s wrestlers in FTR, I’m good. There are a lot of wrestlers out there across the board who could use updates and their stories furthered. Would like to see more of that. Couldn’t agree more

Updates do seem missing in favor of new groups united for one thing or another.

For me this is a good thing. The roster is a bit thin right now and I know another set of EC will be coming but that will be a while. I have plans to slip in an extra wrestler or two, but this set will help with that.

Retcons have been part of COTG for a long time, so it is 100% reasonable that this set exists. I think it is a good idea because the women's division was lacking in many eras. As usual with retroactive inserts, these new wrestlers will not dominate your fed, but will add to the undercard. Tom and company DO consider this and are careful not to uproot/ruin your previous results.
I also think it is a good way to make up for sins of the past like when Tom asked the original players if they wanted women cards and they gave a resounding NO which set back building up a women's division/fed for years.
IMHO The Secret History concept is based off of DC's The Other History of the DC Universe, which explored the hidden past using disenfranchised groups. Considering most of early COTG had a lot men who looked alike (if you know what I mean), this is a well-intentioned set.
Remember Mike M has written in booklets that there were many more wrestlers in the Early Classics whom we never saw. This logic has been applied to 2087 as well with the two inserts. Every real life promotion in history had wrestlers come in and out, had a cup of coffee, or who were unsigned. Still happens today. It's not like when Marvel inserted Sentry and DC inserted Triumph as major players in their universes but no one remembered them due to reality re-writes.
COTG inserts are more like Buzz Sawyer having 12 WWF matches in 1984- no one remembers it and it affected nothing, but is cool.
You can use these cards for any fed or time, no need to stick to the official years if you aren't into the past.

I'm not sure I have alot of interest, but nice to see a new artist! I've never big real into having a women's division in my feds (possibly just because there's not enough talent), but I could see if I do want to at some point using this to fill the roster... while it's great they have actual official stories, clearly that's not really the intent here.

Remember Tyranny--a guy we found competed in the GWF very briefly, but only after the fact when Cordanus appeared. The Draconian Sheik fits into this too for anyone who wasn't a Promoter subscriber back in the day. He was a Promoter exclusive at first, but when he got an official card his bio said he'd already been competing in the GWF "independently" or part-time or whatever term was used.

All these "forgotten" wrestlers in COTG makes me think that the MIB have been very active in the COTG over the years.
