Here comes the Mayor of Safety Town!
We were hoping to get Hoodfoot for last year's deathmatch set, but we gave that spot to Reed Bentley as we did not hear back from Hoodfoot until right as were finishing production on the set as he had changed his Email address. So instead we slotted Hoodfoot into this set as I am not sure if we will be doing another deathmatch set soon unless we get alot of top deathmatch wrestlers signed again.
Hoodfoot at that time gave Tournament Master a verbal yes on Email and then I officially signed him at the Circle 6 show I went to at the Dive Bar here in Las Vegas last October. Hoodfoot signed the release form on top of the pool table at the Dive Bar and this was the first signing I ever made at the Dive Bar as I mostly go there for music but occasionally they have deathmatch shows too.
Here in the United States, one of the top deathmatch championships is the ICW American Deathmatch World Championship. Joel Bateman from last year's deathmatch set was both the first-ever and the only-ever multi-time ICW American Deathmatch World Champion, but Hoodfoot is the longest reigning ICW American Deathmatch World Champion as he held that title for 9 months and successfully defended it against names such as John Wayne Murdock, Reed Bentley, Mickie Knuckles, Pagano, Krule, Bobby Beverly, etc.
I am looking forward to using Hoodfoot in the deathmatch division of some of my VIU feds!
(A side note about the Dive Bar where Hoodfoot signed, back in the 1970s it was not a dive bar but it and the now separate Cricket Wireless store located next door to it was both a combined lounge called My Place and Italian restaurant called Upper Crust owned by some of the Hole in the Wall gang mobsters including Frank Cullotta and it was a very popular hangout for the Las Vegas mob during those days when the FBI even tapped the phones.)
