Love the Strat talk. I just wanted to add they have sets for the Japanese leagues. The PC game is a total game changer for being able to really dig into a league.

Question for Chad over at Uncharted Landscaping ... do you find the straw thing works when planting grass seed? I have a really tall pine tree near our house and for the life of me can't get grass to grow anywhere near it. The corner of the property by my side door and front door just looks barren with odd patches where grass does grow and mostly doesn't.

I read somewhere that cedar needles mess up the soil content for other plants. The same might be true for other evergreens.

I do find that straw helps as both a barrier from birds who like to eat the seed and some shade/compost for the seed. Not sure how the pine needles you and Gunslinger mentioned would interact with the straw/grass seed combo. Eventually the straw breaks down to feed the soil, so maybe it would counter the needles? Funny you called it "Uncharted Landscaping"... one summer while in college I lived in Ohio with my parents and Cory, where I worked for a landscaper. I'd work at that all day, and play SNES Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, and NHL '95 with Cory Olson after work. I was a champion sod hauler, carried 8 rolls at once in a pouring rain! I used to be much stronger.

If it is not too late to ask, I have a question for Stu. I meant to ask this earlier, but I forgot. Stu (and anyone else on the Legends panel who would wish to answer,) which of the recently announced finalists do you think should get inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame this year?
I think Vince Carter should get in for sure but then again I was a little surprised that Antonio Gates did not get inducted into this year's Pro Football Hall of Fame class.
Also, you guys give shoutouts on your shows but I would like to reverse things here and give a shoutout to both Chad and Cory for helping out with the editing this past week for the Indie Cycle 1 cards (both the upcoming Best of set and the Indie Promoter Prime cards.) We had some discussion on some of the names, compromises were made, and I am happy with how things turned out. As I said on Email, I value your opinions and feedback and I look forward to working with you guys on future sets. Thank you Chad and Cory!

Zeke, I'll add your question for Stu (and maybe Tim) about the Naismith HOF. Thank YOU for all of your hard work on the Indies line! We had a good discussion about the stats because we all care about what we're putting out for the fans.

We had a good discussion about the stats because we all care about what we're putting out for the fans. The pro basketball HoF just doesn't work, and this comes from probably the biggest NBA fan that plays this game (not saying it's a fact but, I just haven't meant anyone that is as big a pro fan as I am here). It tries to be too much - international, women's basketball, and college. Why? Further, my godmother/great Aunt, lived in Springfield until I was in college, and my grandparents lived in Greenfield (20 minutes outside of Springfield) until eight years ago - and I think I went like twice in my entire life. It bums me out because it could so much better. Regarding the possible candidates - Carter should be a lock, as should Walter Davis. From the coaching side - Bo Ryan probably will get the nod - even though he never coached in the pros, Seimone Augustus probably gets in as well, and I'm saying no to the other woman's finalist because if we are taking a college coach, it's gotta be Bo Ryan - as he made multiple Final Fours and even a National Title game vs. the women's college coach whose greatest accolades were for making the Sweet 16 a number of times. Not sure either of the Veteran's Committee selections should make it but Barnett makes the most sense as he was on those magical Knicks teams that get so much praise - even though we can assume if not for unfortunate injuries (Hondo in '73, Russell in '70) they never win make the finals, let alone win them. Even though West deserves the nod more out of the three contributor committee finalists, Herb Simon probably gets the nod as what he accomplished in a tiny market like Indianapolis with the Pacers is monumental.
