Trent Acid makes perfect sense with Philadelphia being this year's site. One name I was wondering about last year in Los Angeles since he lives in Las Vegas but he would definitely also work for this year in Philadelphia (especially if he is already in town for other Mania Weekend events) is Sabu. called it!

Mercedes Martinez was also recently inducted into my VIU Hall of Fame as in the voting she beat out both Cheerleader Melissa and Lufisto to become the inaugural women inductee.

You're like the Filsinger Games version of The Simpsons, with your predictions coming true! I just put those 3 in the poll for the VIU Womens Hall of Fame division for last year's inaugural class based on their success in my VIU feds, but now all 3 (Cheerleader Melissa, LuFisto, and Mercedes Martinez) will be members of the Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame. of my three VIU Hall of Fame polls (singles, tag, and women) the womens poll was the closest with Mercedes Martinez beating Cheerleader Melissa by only 3 votes so it is possible that Cheerleader Melissa might be next year's womens inductee into the VIU Hall of Fame.

I have not seen today's ceremony on You Tube yet, but I saw this story where Sabu reportedly no showed his induction today due to not wanting to ride an elevator.
Sabu No Showed Today’s Indie Hall of Fame Ceremony Because He Didn’t Want To Get On An Elevator
Sabu’s legacy has grown even stronger.
The WWE, TNA, ECW, ROH, Big Japan, All Japan, and AEW alumni was inducted into the Independent Wrestling Hall of Fame today, but decided to no-show the ceremony. GCW Owner Brett Lauderdale, who organized the event, revealed the news on social media. Lauderdale writes:
"In the true spirit of independent wrestling, sabu has decided to keep his deposit and no show the indie hall of fame ceremony today. He accepted the booking and took the money, but doesnt wanna get in the elevator and come upstairs. What a legend."
Sabu was present at WrestleCon, which also took place in Philadelphia. Other members getting inducted into the Indie Hall of Fame included Mercedes Martinez, Eddie Gilbert, Steve Corino, The Briscoes, Kevin Hogan, and Trent Acid.
