ALW on Thriller TV

The indie here in FL I have been to three of their shows puts up matches on Thriller Tv's web site and you can view them for free. Atomic Legacy Wrestling has gone thru name changes over the years but they celebrate their 7th anniversary next Friday and thus will be starting their 8th year after that. They still need to work on their promotion. In the past they would put on their Facebook when new episodes went up. I had not seen anything posted on Facebook for a while so I went to Thriller (formerly Fite TV) and discovered they had post a few over last couple months.

If you want to see the matches I saw you can go to Thriller TV dot com and under the search enter Atomic Legacy Wrestling. The last 3 current episodes (#28-30) are from two of the shows I went to. If you watch #29 there is a part of the three way ladies match at around the 34 minute mark where they come out into the fans and place Piper in a chair. I am the goofy looking guy with short hair in a black t-shirt. I am most blocked by the lady sitting in front of me. I have not checked the rest of the matches to see if you can see me or not. I know #28 and #29 are from the first show I went to and so will be in the same area. #30 was from a different show. I was in the front row on the far side from where the wrestlers entered. I was wearing a black t-shirt there as well with red lettering that says something like "I survived the wrestling shutdown of 2020". I would recommend the ladies match between Leva Bates/Allysin Kay/Teal Piper. It is a fun match. I am disappointed they did not put up the match with the cheese guy. The match was nothing special but it was funny seeing him tossing cheese slices into the crowd.

I just looked closer at #30 and that is a fun one to check out. That was the second show I went to, the one right before Halloween. Thus some fans in costumes. One match is Renee Michelle, wife of Rockstar Spud/Maverick, and I think she did a stint with WWE/NXT going against youngster Airica Demia. When I say youngster I mean it. She was either in high school still at the time of this match or just out of it. The thing about her is if you are a fan of Zelda or games like that you might enjoy her character. The man in the promo is her real life father and a wrestler in his own right if I remember correctly. The other match is a Hardcore title match between Mad Man Pondo, the champ, and Colby Corino, he has a card in the game don't you know, and it was a fun hardcore match. In one part of the match Corino asks for a dollar bill from a fan in the audience. That fan was me.

ALW was supposed to have a PPV event on the 26th of this month. Since it is a Friday I was not going to be able to go. They are pushing it back to May and on a Sunday. I am half tempted to go as Xia Brookside will be there along with the return of Bobby Fish. Plus in a bit of pop culture wrestling history Izzy Moreno makes her ALW in ring debut and likely one of the first matches in her career.

I haven't been to an ALW show since December and no plans to attend one anytime soon due to their schedule conflicting with my work one but I do keep an eye on them via their FB. Saw that they are doing a PPV event on TrillerTV and one match looks interesting. Leva Bates defends her ALW Women's title against Izzy Moreno with special guest ref Lisa Maria Varon aka Victoria aka Tara. That could be a fun little match.

Izzy tweeted about how now she has to worry about Varon being the special ref but she has to focus on beating Leva. Then Bully Ray tweeted back that he hopes Leva kicks the shit out of Izzy. It is cool he is trying to give her the rub.

On their Facebook ALW said they signed a new contract and TV deal to stream their content including monthly PPVs which is interesting seeing right now they only run a few shows a year. It could be Thriller TV but it feels like a new partner. If so I wonder if it is AXS since ALW has been working with TNA. If so, I would think that it is a good sign for TNA as it shows AXS is looking for more wrestling content. Also it could be another place for TNA talent to shine besides Impact, Xplosion and NXT of course.

Turns out they signed with Triller, just realized I have been calling it Thriller when it is Triller which you have to admit is a weird name, but it is really part of a package deal. For $7.99 a month or $69.99 a year you get content from ALW but also GCW, CZW, ICW, FSW and others.
