I've just started checking wikipedia about some of the new guys that I don't know much about. I thought I'd pass some of this along.
Bob Roop has held the NWA Florida Tag titles with Harley Race
2x NWA Florida Tag champion, ICW Southeastern Tag champion and NWA Southeastern Tag champion with Bob Orton Jr.
I wasn't sure what to do with Roop but now I may have him joing up with Orton and Muraco.

Roop was an olympian if I remember correctly (Correct me if I am wrong) So you can go the Olympic Hero line as well

yeah, he finished 7th in the 68' Mexico City Olympics
Iron Sheik was also at the 68' Olympics but was eliminated during trials, but when the Sheik says he's a Olympic medalist he's talking about these Olympics. He did however win the 68 Pan-Am Games.
This could also be used as a pretty good storyline with Roop & Iron Sheik

Roop would do well with an Angle gimmick.

Bob Roop is a good feud for Ted Dibiase as well. He was going around Mid-South claiming he taught Paul Orndorff a sure fire counter to the Figure Four. Then later he sabotaged Orndorff's car before a big title match and took his place and then proceeded to beat Dibiase for the North American Championship.
Roop is a more natural heel but he did play a face. He tended to go for that tough guy enforcer gimmick.
I'd highly recommend getting Bob Roop footage. He's one of the most under appreciated guys of the 70s and 80s. He's a quality worker in tag matches and singles matches.

I remember Roop from his days in Florida's Championship Wrestling. Mostly from an uncle's access to it via cable in the very early days of cable (when most of the programming featured wrasslin' in some format). He was hooked up with Kevin Sullivan at that point and had some crazy angles/personas that I hardly realized (at that time) did not do him justice. In the 70s, he had the Olympian angle in full force. And I acquired footage of him (again in Florida) with a face run along those lines. He was very young then and the footage is from the early '70s so I guess he was just getting going at that time. I'm interested to see what his card portrays. I'm thinking it will be more along the lines of his Olympian heel work around the time that j posted where he tagged with Race and Orton Jr. Thankfully, I think we'll be spared some of his later personas in Florida (was it Maya Singh and Yellow Dog?). Oh man. Roop deserved better.

I am thinking of having a faction of Race, Roop, Orton Jr, & Muraco....calling them the 4 Aces! going to war with Teddy, Doc, & Hacksaw

Stats will reflect Bob Roop and not Maya Singh. He'll probably work well as either a face or heel, as we tried to balance his stats so you could use him either way.
