Back from Con. Did pretty good during auction. Bought cool NWA title belts to use with cards, a local news paper from 2014 that focused on the COTG live show in the entertainment section and the Galacticon 2020 LE Akuna the Ninja card. The has pictures of Alex Reynolds, Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor. Very happy with my wins.

It was great meeting so many people in person finally. Enjoyed my time at the Con, dinner and ride to dinner with Troy. Great seeing Zeke again. Hopefully I can make it next year.

I had to rush out just before the auction started, the brewery I work for is celebrating their 10 year anniversary today so I had to rush back to Buffalo to at least make an appearance.
It was great meeting some people in person for the first time & also seeing a bunch of people I haven't seen in person in many years. I think Jack said it was the 20 year anniversary of Synergy being released & besides the Cleveland Con I believe that may have been the last GalactiCon I'd been to in person.
For those of you in attendance who partake, I hope you guys enjoyed the GalactiCon beer! 🍻

Glad that you were able to make it out this year; you've mentioned in the past that it's been difficult to get time off from your job at certain times of the year. I'm going to try to make it out next year myself. I probably would have gone this year if it wasn't being held over Canada Day long weekend. I likely wouldn't have been able to get the time off because of that. |

Out of curiosity does the person running the auction at the conventions talk a mile-a-minute like a standard auctioneer? |

For one thing they just pointed out the highest bid and asked if a higher bid. Things did get fast a few times with bids tossed out in the room and also online. |

Today is off to a great start. Right before I go down for breakfast I get a text that my flight has been delayed almost 2 1/2 hours. Meaning I will take off the time we should be landing in FL almost. Then I go down for a lemon Belgian waffle only to find their flavor is now blueberry. Had a decent breakfast anyways. Head back to my room and my key is not working. So back down to the front desk and no one there. As I'm waiting I hear noise in back office. Had to speak to get someone to come help me. Turns out their keys are programmed to expire at 12am instead of 12pm. Why they haven't fixed this known issue is beyond me. Oh well, it is what it is.

Couple minutes ago I checked the board and it went from 1:57 departure to a 2:02 departure. Went to hit the vending machine, since the restaurant is not open,and when I went to sit down checked the screen again and now it's 2:22. NY does not want me to leave. Like the hotel in The Shinning.

This airport has four gates. No flights in or out of gate 1 today. So sitting over there and have the whole section to myself lol
