I am pretty sure that someone sdaid that D'Lo was signed and there are a lot worse guys than D'Lo (for example: Outback Jack!) Sorry, just watched the Honky Tonk Man's DVD about WWF in 1987 and he talked about how bad Outback was...Hey, Honky Tonk Man would be a great addition....and he did win some championships......hmmmm It was to my understanding that Honky tonk Man turned tom down. He very well might have....but you never know what people will do!

Maybe, just maybe...and with TM's little wink it has me more thinking this....
it's Terry Funk.
I hear Terry originally turned Tom down (or said yes then never got back with him, one of the two). He won some titles, I consider him an exciting wrestler AND he fits the theme of being an ORIGINAL in that he was one of the first wrestlers in America to really get the "hardcore" movement going. Yes I know there where hardcore wrestlers before Terry, but most would consider him an American pioneer in that area. After all in the IWA Death Match tournament IN JAPAN it was Terry Funk and my hero Mick Foley in the finals! Plus being from Texas it gives the "high noon" announcement time something too! So my guess goes to Terry Funk!
Or Cactus Jack, but I'm going to hope he's in EVERY set until he actually is in a set.

Going with the whole "High Noon" is a clue for a cowboy wrestler thing, we have several possibilities...
Cactus Jack Terry Funk Dory Funk Jr. Cowboy Bill Watts Bill/Scott Irwin Cowboy Frankie Laine Dick Murdoch Ron Bass Stan Hansen
...there are more but those are the highlights...
I think we can rule out Bill Watts, Frankie Laine, Ron Bass and Dory Funk Jr. I don't think they'd be characterized as "exciting". Also, I'm not certain Laine or Bass won all that many titles.
I don't think it could be the Irwins because I think they'd be brought in as a tag-team.
Then there's also the "original" portion of that. That limits things further because of the list only Cactus Jack, Terry Funk and maybe Stan Hansen could be considered "original" to any extent.
Although Cactus Jack, Terry Funk and Dick Murdoch definitely fit the description outside of the ring.
Any guesses? I'm going with the "safe" guess. Cactus Jack!

If it's either Funk or Cactus it doesn't matter because I won't be alive to enjoy it...I will have had a joy related heart attack and be dead.
[edit]Also, Tom didn't say anything about the guy having played football or anything else, that was someone else's thinking. So I'm staying off that line of thought[/edit]

It can't be cactus..Foley is with TNA and would want a fortune for his name and likeness in the game...
I'm guessing it may be Terry Funk...which would be outstanding...but I'd be happier with Stan Hansen.,..who if teamed with Brody would easily be rated higher than the Road Warriors as a tag team duo right? Wishful thinking...
