The Samoan SWAT Team, Juicy Finau and Lance Anoi’a, are coming to the Best of the Indies Tag Team 2024 set! Finau and Anoi’a, the son of the legendary Samu, saw their greatest success as a tag team as members of a top American Indies promotion. The tag team utilizes ring rattling slams, assorted power moves and a brawling style to batter their opponents. The Samoan SWAT Team held tag team gold one occasion while they appeared many times on national TV. Both Anoi’a and Finau have had success wrestling as singles wrestlers in multiple Indies promotions across the globe, showing their versatility.

The Samoan SWAT Team has also had notable feuds against fellow other Indies tag teams The Second Gear Crew (1 Called Manders and Mance Warner) and The Calling (AKIRA and Ricky Shane Page). Whether they chose to renew those rivalries or find a new target in your fed is up to you, promoter!

Ty signed Lance Anoa'i (who recently updated his look) awhile ago and I signed Juicy Finau. Juicy Finau wrestled for awhile here in Las Vegas at FSW but I actually signed him in Dallas at MLW (the day he made his MLW debut) during Mania Weekend 2022.

This recent Indie incarnation of the Samoan SWAT Team were MLW World Tag Team Champions for 6 months last year. However, while Lance Anoa'i is a member of the Samoan Dynasty as the son of LOW's Samu (I think it is cool how last cycle we got a color card for Samu and then the next/this current cycle we are getting a card of his son Lance Anoa'i,) Juicy Finau is actually of Tongan heritage. In this version of the Samoan SWAT Team, SWAT= Samoan With A Tongan.

I got Lance signed 10 years ago at PPW After Shock in Hazelton, PA. The main event was the Samoan Dynasty (Afa Jr., Alofa, Lance Anoai & Samu) against Team Havoc (Gene Snitsky, Havoc, JP & M3).

It was a good night. I got Samu, Afa Jr. and Alofa to sign their game cards that night too.

things are really just getting warmed up on the Indie brand this cycle

In addition to the two great tag teams anounced so far, there is a major tag team (the set headliner) getting announced next week and the final tag team to be announced in this set is even bigger than today's announcement.

There is also some great cards in this cycle's Indie Promoter Prime and something special for the Indies brand is getting announced and released at Galacticon.

Absolutely love this announcement!! I think because Fatu hadn't signed up, I mentally just discounted the chances of signing others in the family and so they never even entered my mind. They will go straight into my MLW fed. Great signings Ty and Zeke!! Also cannot wait to find out what else is to come for the indies this cycle

Holy Crap! This is a great signing. Man, our Indies Tag Divisions are about to get injected with some crazy competition! So happy to see these two in. Can't wait to see who is next!
