Very sad to read and see. Misawa was arguably the greatest technician in the ring. GOes to show you what these guys go through and the dangers of a "fixed" sport
RIP

Nice touch at the ROH show Saturday night...the entire lockerrom came to ringside before the show's start to participate in a 10-bell salute & moment of silence in memory of him. Amazing, how a basic move could cause this to occur. I agree with all, these guys really don't get the credit they deserve. I'd like to see any of the haters step into the ring for 1 minute...

I first saw him as Tiger Mask in 87, then the first match I saw as himself was against Giant Baba that changed the way I looked at wrestling. I spent most of the 90's collecting tapes of All Japan reveling all his matches. His series with Jumbo Tsurata was a classic. He will be missed by more than he may have even known.

More News
Japan's Mainichi Daily News is reporting that wrestling legend Mitsuharu Misawa died on Saturday night after suffering spinal damage during a match in Hiroshima, Japan. He was 46.
Misawa was fighting in a tag team match at Hiroshima Green Arena in front of around 2,300 spectators. During the match, opponent Akitoshi Saito used a back suplex on him, causing him to strike his head and leaving him unable to move. His heart stopped shortly after.
A doctor in the audience reportedly used an automated external defibrillator (AED) to try and start his heart again, but to no avail. He was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead at 10:10 p.m. It later turned out that the cause of his death was damage to his cervical spinal cord.
