Cornette begs to differ. 😉 Eh, its far from the first time Cornette has been wrong about something. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and sometimes those opinions are wrong. Though, I agree with Cornette on his take on the Midnight Express - it's gotta be Condrey and Eaton if only because Eaton is in his Heavenly Bodies attire and not his Midnight Express attire - and that would bug the crap out of me if I was a player.

Let's be honest, either of Cornette's versions of Midnight Express is fine. I personally go with Condrey and Eaton but Eaton and Lane where great too.
I'd also have to give the nod to Condrey and Eaton as the more well known team. They were together longer, and were involved in most of the matches people remember the Midnight Express for.

SINGLES: Andre The Giant Lou Thesz Bruno Sammartino Randy Savage Buddy Rogers Kurt Angle Frank Gotch Rob Van Dam Bobo Brazil Bruiser Brody Sgt. Slaughter Wahoo McDaniel Harley Race Gorgeous George Bob Backlund Nick Bockwinkel WOMEN: Fabulous Moolah Trish Stratus TAG TEAMS: Road Warriors British Bulldogs Fabulous Kangaroos I was going to post my list, but topdollar already nailed it (only difference was I had The Midnight Express instead of The Fabulous Kangaroos). Go figure...

Just for another vote I'm on team Eaton/Lane. I think they are better known than Eaton/Condrey. Both teams were great. I've used both in my game but Eaton/Lane a lot more.

My thoughts exactly (although I think you meant to type Lane in his Heavenly Bodies attire not Eaton)

I'm on team Condrey & Eaton, they were like a well-oiled machine, and nothing beats their rivalry with the Rock n' Roll Express from both Mid-South and the NWA. Lane was excellent but to me he will always be a Fabulous One and I found it weird when he joined Eaton and Cornette, though they turned into a great team. Dusty Rhodes actually plucked Lane out of Florida to join the team when Condrey left the NWA in 1987. Also to further my cause for calling Condrey and Eaton the best version, Eaton and Lane feuded with the Dynamic Dudes and that's not cool. I rest my case
