Bojangles (which I ate at last year when I was in North Carolina for the 2023 Crockett Cup) is coming here to Las Vegas and I am afraid they are probably bringing Cheerwine with them:
Bojangles to break ground on first of 20 proposed Vegas locations
The move to Las Vegas is part of the restaurant chain's expansion into western markets
Ground on Las Vegas' first Bojangles location broke Friday afternoon.
Popular chicken restaurant Bojangles is headed west... specifically to Las Vegas.
Bojangles CEO Jose Armario and other company leaders will break ground on the city's first location at 9210 S. Rainbow Boulevard at 9 a.m.
It's the first in a "multi-unit development agreement" to bring 20 franchise locations to Las Vegas. This coincides with developing locations within 10 TravelCenters of America across the West. The restaurant chain did not provide details on the location of the other 19 proposed restaurants.
The first location is expected to open in December.

Lol well even if they do, I am not sure as it's more a regional drink, no one says you have to drink it.

I did something similar a few years ago when I tried vegemite at my local Aussie restaurant. While I didn't particularly care for it I also didn't find it as revolting as other people made it out to be; The aftertaste is something fierce though.

Bojangles used to be my go to. After Covid, like most fast food places, it's struggled mightily, mostly with staffing. Biscuitville has taken over the Triad, way better.
As a former NC native, Cheerwine is best out of a glass bottle, which you can still find available in the middle of the state. Out of a fountain it tastes too much like a cough syrup.

Biscuitville has taken over the Triad, way better. During our April trip to visit NC State and Virginia Tech, my daughter and I tried all the southern chain biscuits we could find. Biscuitville was the clear winner, followed by Hardees. Bojangles was nothing spectacular. I would rank it below popeyes and above KFC in both chicken and biscuits.

We also stopped at Cookout along the way for shakes and hushpuppies.

Over the course of a summer I tried all the cook out shakes. Might explain my A1C numbers lol. I definitely leaned more into ones with peanut butter, and they have ones with cheesecake, that has chunks of cheesecake in them.

I forgot that about 2-3 months ago Bojangles was said to be constructing a new menu, and that they were getting out of the chicken and biscuits business. This move into Las Vegas could be tied in with that.

This move into Las Vegas could be tied in with that. Well RIP Bojangles. I say this because my experience is when a chain known for something goes in a different direction it usually spells doom. It is ok to change some of a menu or style but a full overhaul rarely works out.
