Selfishly, I've always felt like Beau was a guy we needed to (and could) get into the game, because he's tight with so many guys. I wouldn't mind a Beau card at all.

Count me in for a "King Of Kingsport" Beau James card.
I'd have him managed by "Duke Of New York" Al Getz.
"The King" & "The Duke"...now that's a Royal Family!

I'm open to anyone but now you have me curious about Beau.

The question of course is - is Beau James a LOW signing or more appropriately an Indies wrestler?

He worked Memphis Power Pro Wrestling, which had non-public-access weekly TV and was essentially the successor to the USWA even if it was only running indie-sized buildings (I think they had one card at the Mid-South Coliseum). Unlike ROH and other indies they still ran a weekly loop/circuit. So he's on the edge of the dividing line for me.
Aesthetics-wise he's way closer to a territorial guy than guys in the indies line. Plus with Al Getz already setting the precedent...

The line is already super thin anyways.

And by "aesthetics-wise" I'd separate Beau from your Mance Warner/Beer City Bruiser/FTR/Silas Young types whose entire gimmick is "I'm an old-school WRASSLER who doesn't do flips" because with Beau, it's just who he is. I'm not knocking the other guys, they all range from decent to outstanding...but they're still indy guys working a modern AEW/indy/move-spam/shake-hands-and-Tweet-about-how-great-your-match-was style even if they throw in spike piledrivers and a performative "old-school" gimmick.

The line is already super thin anyways. And wavey like gravy.

I am fine with whatever. However, I remember one card from winter 2023 Pro Prime for a Purple Haze was critiqued and questioned up and down and almost outright derided. I just find it ironic that seven months later we are arguing that Beau James was more on a loop than Indies guys which is why he should be a Legend. Not sure how much of a loop Mikey Whipwreck or any 90’s/2000’s legend had but, ok, you convinced me Beau James is a legend and not an indies wrestler. He’ll be an 8(5) or an 7(4)and he will be a fantastic lower card talent.

The answer is simple.
Indie Legend.
Boom.
