I think we need to seperate the character from the person. Billy Jack is worthy, while his portrayer is not particularly pleasant. ITs much like the Benoit question. Do we punish the character for the actions of the portrayer? Remember Bob Saget was America's great dad in Full House, no body held his risque personal life against his character.

I'd say there's a pretty huge difference in separating an on-air character to a murderer (ie Benoit) than there is separating an on-air character to...whatever you want to call what Billy Jack Haynes is now.

I don't remember the exacts but I do remember Haynes having several run-ins with the law. As for character/real life.........I think it's harder to do for Legends than it might for other things.

I just hate to see beloved characters punished for their real alter egos mistakes. Does Robert Blake killing his wife take away from my enjoyment of watching Beretta or should it effect the character recieving honors? Not necessarily. I liked Beretta, not necessarily Robert Blake.

Well, to me...yeah, it does take away from my enjoyment Beretta. I probably wouldn't be caught dead (bad pun!!!) watching that show, anything OJ's done. I probably cut my entertainment value about 90% with this view, but about the only extra time outside of my kiddos I spend anyways is maybe the game, drawing or working on this kids book I'm working on and watching Kentucky basketball. (I do admit a soft spot for True Blood though unless Alan Ball ruins it, which I think he is on the verge of doing) AND READ THIS DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT ACCUSING TOM OF ANYTHING, but I'd say his COTG and family life are "different". I'm sure most may be hesitant to buy anything from Tom if he had a real shady past like a Robert Blake. May just be me though... But just back on topic, I'd rather have a guy that can represent the game in a positive manner.

We could use him if we want someone for Savage T to beat up on, and then only as an LE ... that is sold for a quarter.
