Searching youtube for wrestling I haven't seen past & present. Found UWF Beach Brawl 1991 I was surprised to see the Killer Bees wrestle as Mass Confusion - I never knew they wrestled under that name.
Also on show was Colonel Debeers (I know not a Legends card) anti-black man as a referee in his matches. Okay I know nearly 35 years but I was shocked by storyline.

The colonel was Ed Wiskoski, a veteran wrestler and good friend of Buddy Rose. The gimmick was cringey when he debuted in the AWA, but there was no Internet or social media back then so there was not much blowback. I'm guessing Ed carried on with the character post-AWA because it was known nationally.

I'm sure the WWF wouldn't have let them use the "Killer Bees" name on another PPV. While Herb Abrams' UWF probably would have crashed either way, the WWF did do what they could to combat them. After Vince didn't want to resign Andre in 1990, the UWF brought him in for an appearance on a TV taping. When WWF found out, they immediately resigned him.

I remember in his book Truth Bee Told (of which I got my personal copy signed by B. Brian Blair at the CAC a couple of years ago,) Blair discusses his time in the UWF where he is very critical of Herb Abrams.
Blair in his book says in the UWF he and Jim Brunzell mostly wrestled as Masked Confsuion but on their final night in the UWF (which turned out to be the final night of the UWF period) they wrestled as the Killer Bees as Herb Abrams said the WWF did not renew their trademark. And it was on that final UWF show in 1994 in Las Vegas (the attendance was only about 600 people in the MGM Grand Garden Arena, but I would have gone if I was living here at the time) where the Killer Bees won their only tag team championship together which was the UWF World Tag Team Championship.
Col DeBeers is in my personal top 20 wish list for LOW wrestlers. When I lived in Tacoma (before moving back to Seattle,) I got to see him wrestle for PNW where he and Buddy Rose had a feud against the Southern Rockers.

I'd love Ed as Ed....DeBeers gimmick is too much baggage.

Just re-watched the Dark Side Of The Ring episode about the UWF the other day. I still can't help but laugh when Blair says that Herb Abrams "died doing what he loved most: cocaine and hookers."
Despite all of his personal problems and the fact that he routinely stiffed the wrestlers on pay most of the people interviewed in the episode have fond memories of Herb and were devastated when he passed away.

That felt like Herb in a nutshell. Cocaine and hookers. Wrestling was just a way to get both.

All this talk about Herb is making me yearn once more for a Sunny Beach ⛱️.
The Blackhearts would be cool. I think we have one of their associates in the game already.
