Good on ya bro! With all due respect, this is an honest question. What drugs were you on? Also, what was the withdrawal like? Did you go it alone or go to a rehab place? Did you lose any drinking/drug friends because of your sobriety? Many recovering alcoholics who've I've encountered say that don't miss the drinking, but they kiss the people? What are the major benefits to your sobriety? Better health? Saving money? You don't need to share here if I'm being too nosy. You can PM me or tell me to go kick rocks, LOL. Congrats again! very personal questions so I'll answer those that I wish to. 1. I went it alone. 2. Didn't lose any friends because as I learned during the first 2 years of my sobriety I didn't have any. In the first 2 years 1 guy I knew tried to contact me only 2x and that was just to see if i had anything to get him high. that's it. Not a word or visit from anyone else for 15 years. I don't miss them and its obvious they don't miss me lol. 3.Yes my health improved. 4. Considering I no longer spend money on drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes(was up to 3 packs a day and now 7 1/2 years without a cigarette) I am saving money. Thanks so much for your answers and your honesty. I'm so glad I never smoked. I consider myself extremely lucky to not pick it up because both my parents smoked and my brother and sister do. I also have friends that do and it's no wonder they're broke all the time. Congrats again and keep fighting!!!
